So this game is either a side scroller or a rail web shooter. lol. So bad. Maybe it'll be too much to ask for at least a single screenshot. I suppose Spidey fans will find out what type of game this will be on the Wii only if they buy it. But really, who will?

Well obviously the Wii can't handle an open world Spiderman game. Oh, wait, Spiderman, Spiderman2, Ultimate Spiderman & Spiderman3 were all open world on the Cube & Wii.

Spiderman 3 free roam sucked with no sewers and subway. Was getting the HD one any way.

Not sure why they couldn't do side scrolling free roam like spiderman 3 for ds.

i think it'll still be the same game just that we cant wonder off the map, so i hope the 3ds version is a 3rd person platformer and not a sidescroller or like edge of time only focused on web slinging and falling down

A shame considering this game is coming from Beenox. The same people who were all about treating the Wii fairly next to the HD twins in the last two Spider-Man games and not leaving out mostly anything what those games offered.

Oh well, it's just another game I will likely skip anyway.

as great as though two titles are... its still looking a little thin. but what do people expect? the wii-u is on the horizon. developers switch their focus.

but to the topic at hand.. what the hell? how long ago did spider man 2 come out? 8 years ago? why so gimped man? why so gimped?

I am not expecting anything from this game. I was thinking about getting this on one of the hd systems and still may but that depends on reviews. But knowing what they are doing here makes it sound like this game is going to be bad all around.

There's a PC version too as well and I'd doubt that would be a different version to the PS3/360. I get the impression that they just forgot about the Nintendo consoles.

I'd expect it to be at least as good as Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate SM at the best, on part with Arkham? No chance.

As good as those two games may be (three if xenoblade is included, four if DQX gets worldwide release on wii), I dont feel like that is enough to declare the wii as a healthy living console. Those games are even available already in other regions.
Im really tired of only getting these half assed ports made by the C team, so I really hope this is going to be lessened with WiiU

Meh, this doesn't have to be so much of a bad thing. I'll be playing an HD version but I'm pretty convinced that the web-swinging open world dealie is just there for spectacle alone and on a less powerful system like the Wii could easily be nixxed without being too detrimental to the end product

not all devs have the chops, the time, AND the resources all at once to make something like an open world, especially when you're developing within the limitations of the Wii relative to what pretty much every developer is used to working on in 2012 (like more powerful consoles, more powerful smartphones, more powerful handheld(s?), more powerful Texas Instruments calculators, etc). I mean it can't possibly be that hard to put out an open world sandboxy game on Wii, we had more than one in the first year of the system's life IIRC, but to make one that's really satisfactory compared to what's been done this generation on more powerful hardware would be a pretty herculean feat

I've been saying this since the beginning of 2011....when we had that HUGE Wii drought. That's the reason I got a PS3 because I tired of waiting for something new to play and Nintendo just wasn't delivering. The Wii was just a Netflix and COD machine for me. They picked it up at the end with Skyward Sword and Returns to Dreamland but two games in 12 months is still very unacceptable. I will say 2012 for Wii is already better than 2011 was as a whole with Mario Party 9, Rhythm Heaven Fever, Pokepark 2, Xenoblade, NPC: Pikmin 2, and The Last Story. I will say the Wii had a good run between 2007-2010 so it had a nice 3 years (though 2009 was pretty drought filled as well).
