Ummm...where the hell is Xenoblade Chronicles? I guess that analyst firm was talking out of their ass? I hope we hear about the title's sales when the NPD commentary comes in.

I feel like a lot of people bought Xenoblade from Nintendo's site. The sales probably were pretty good, it's just that those sales probably weren't a part of this data...

^This.

I got mine's from Nintendo's site as well. Hopefully Nintendo's press release will show off more numbers.

yep that was obvious , there was no way for xenoblade to be third even in individual sku , even in wii sku , even in nintendo sku . the usual internet boards effect .
i still hoped , but a 40.000 grand total in europe , it was just not possible .

Looks like project failure was nothing. I bought mine looks like the rest canceled their orders. Next time you all say you are going to buy a game do it. Looks like nintendo will not bring game like this anymore after you liars backed out. I suppose you all bought mario party instead.

Low print run, Nintendo/GameStop-exclusive, niche RPG.

And you expected it on the NPD? Guys, come on, don't act like the sky falling.

i think it was the shipment number which hopefully they did sell , my point was more about how xenoblade and many other great games do not make big numbers . Nothing remotely close to despised shooters like re orc or dnf . And nintendo knew that and decided to publish games like xenoblade , last story and my favorite sin and punishment 2 . Those games would not be big in any systems in the west , but nintendo did publish fund and helped develop them , made iwata asks interview . All those knowing full well their sales potential , true B category sales game
bayonneta did better number in japan than in the west and those japan numbers were deemed disappointing.

In terms of numbers, among Wii's userbase

Core gamers who follow this sort of thing (vocal minority among the 90 mil + Wii owners) < Core gamers and casual gamers who might have been interested if the game was advertised more <<< people who couldn't possibly give a damn about this game in comparison to, say, Mario Kart or some local mp pick up and play stuff or an exerdance game

These numbers are hardly surprising, though as has been said I'm sure Nintendo's numbers will bolster things

Ignoring the Xenoblade thing...

Who gets games for easter? Seriously? I never thought Easter was a holiday where you got games...

It seems you just exploded. Xenoblade wont appear on NPD because of being a gamestop exclusive.

In other news, for two months in a row, Kid Icarus Uprising was one of the top 10 single sku's for the month. But clearly it is a failure that will lose Nintendo billions of dollars until they are bankrupt and living on the side of the road, giving handies for McDonald's gift certificates.
We're going to rack up some serious Nintendogs trainer points together!

Is there any way to get actual Kid Icarus sales numbers? Two months in a row top 10 has gotta mean good sales.

I think people need to wake up and realize the real reason why numbers are down:

THE ECONOMY IS TERRIBLE
Mega Man 9 isn't hard, you're just not paying attention

"Is there any way to get actual Kid Icarus sales numbers?"

If you can wait a couple months, Nintendo will probably provide them when they release their quarterly financials.

Also:
As @ddddd said, Xenoblade wasn't included because it's an exclusive. NPD can't reveal sales of individual retailers. They (the retailers) feels that it's insider information they don't want their competitors to know.
