Love: Pokemon HGSS, Kirby SuperStar Ultra - both improve upon AWESOME games (though there are a few minor things from the original G/S/C that I missed, like decorating your bedroom or getting berries, not apricorns). IMO when I try to look at them from a really objective point of view, these are the best games of their franchises.

Hate: Kirby Canvas Curse. It was cool at first but once I got to that one stage where the floor and all the walls hurt you, I got REALLY pissed off because you have to really solely on your stylus to keep afloat and it's constantly running out of ink, making that irritating noise for the whole level. And then I couldn't get to the end. I actually was about to break my DS in half.

Totally agree on this one. I actually passed up on getting Castlevania: Dawn of sorrows and got this instead... a short while later I played through Symphony of the night and became a big fan of the metroidvania style of game and of course realized the error I had made.

Love: Ghost Trick (Couldn't put this game down while I was playing it)

Hate: Fullmetal Alchemist: Duel Sympathy (Why did I get this game? Oh right, because I LOVE the anime, and of course all video games based off of existing IPs from other media are great XD)

Maybe... you should just get better. It's not even that hard.

Like: Pokemon HeartGold, Pokemon Diamond

Hate... Well, none.

The DS was a very just ...not special console to me. It didn't bring any masterpieces that I'll remember for years, but on the other hand it didn't screw anything up so bad that can not be forgiven. It remained pretty underwhelming all of the way, though. Games like Wild World were good, but could have been done a lot better, and after City Folk I'm afraid that the charm that was lost with WW is never coming back.

Why should someone bother getting better on a game that isn't that much fun in the first place?

The game's not fun because you guys suck at it. Here, let me explain:

"I hate Super Mario Bros. because I always get killed by the stupid Goomba, and the one time I managed to jump over it, I fell into that pit. I've seen later levels in the game and they rely solely on skillful play. If I got to that point, I’d want to smash my NES. This game is no fun!"

Love. The list is really long, but these are the games I love the most:
*Magical Starsign
*Mario Kart DS
*Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
*Kirby Super Star Ultra
*Hotel Dusk: Room 215
*Chrono Trigger
*Elite Beat Agents
*Tetris DS
*Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
*The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
*Picross 3D

And if I'm allowed to, my favorite DSiWare:
*Dragon Quest Wars
*Snapdots
*Looksley's Line Up
*Number Battle
*Face Pilot: Fly With Your Nintendo DSi Camera!
*Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!
*Art Style: PiCTOBiTS

Hate:
*SEGA Superstars Tennis
*Polarium's Challenge Mode and 30-Character long Custom Puzzles codes, but I liked the game overall.
*Advance Wars: Dual Strike (I love the game, but hate that I cannot erase it, which is a probelm 'cause I bought it used, and it has almost everything unlocked)

EDIT: I don't hate Advance Wars: Dual Strike anymore :D I was finally able to erase the previous save file, so I can truly start that game on my own, and now, training time:

Loved: Taiko no Tatsujin, Osu Tatakae Ouendan 1/2, Elite Beat Agents, Love Plus (I'm a very lonely guy), 999, and... Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

Hate: YOSHIS ISLAND DS. DEAR GOD, THE MUSIC. THE MUUUUUUUSIC.

Ah, you can't let one stage ruin a game for you. If that were the case, Kirby 64 would have been horrible to me at the end. Especially since I hated the song in most of the stages. =/

I have to disagree, whole heartedly. I had absolutely no problem with Rhythm Heaven (DS). The flicking is not flawed at all.
Rhythm Game fanatic. DJMax, Taiko no Tatsujin, DDR, Rockband, Guitar Hero, Rhythm Heaven, Beatmania, and Pop n' Music. Amazing.

technically it is at least somewhat flawed. if it wasn't "at all" as you claim, i and so many other people would have zero trouble with it. but plenty of people did, so it is at least partially flawed. anecdotally, for me and others like me, it is completely, utterly flawed, relatively speaking.

Never really had much for the DS, but whatever, I'll give this a shot.

Love:
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Pokémon HeartGold
Mario Kart DS

All pretty self-explanatory really. The handheld Zelda games and Pokémon were pretty much the only reason I consistently bought handhelds back then. Got Mario Kart DS along with the system as part of the special red bundle and found that I loved it quite a bit too--many good times were had playing this with high school friends during our lunch hours!

Hate:
Metroid Prime Hunters

Being a fairly new fan of Metroid at the time, this was my first taste of the series on a handheld. By then I'd already had the first two Primes under my belt, and after playing through the single player campaign for a little bit I wasn't really impressed. Never even bothered to finish it, sadly.

I think "hate" is a bit of a strong word in this case, but it's definitely my least favorite DS game by far.

Touche. >_>

But I'll ask you this, have you tried dragging the stylus off the ridges on the end of the touch screen for a flick? It works wonders if you cant get it down any other way.
