Since it seems like Nintendo is taking the criticisms of the third party developers regarding the Wii U seriously, do you think that the third party developers are giving criticisms to Nintendo regarding how powerful the Wii U should be or no?

I'm not impressed with the Unreal Engine 4 or Epic Games, especially if the engine is just going to be used for Micheal Bay Call of Duty shooters.
List of games that use Unreal Engine
Scroll down to Unreal Engine 3 to see what Nintendo has missed this generation because of not being able to run UE3. You'll see the same kind of list of games for UE4 and if the Wii U can't run it, then it will miss out on all of them.

I had already looked at that list and the titles I recognized where shooters, Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham city, the Mortal Kombat games, the new Devil may cry and exclusive games like DC universe online.
But I still feel that if different publishers pump out Micheal Bay type shooters the Unreal Engine 4 is garbage. Because the industry's not really showing creativity by doing that.
Now if publishers like Nintendo, Sega, Capcom and others made really good use of the engine with their popular franchises I don't see a problem, if it ends up like this gen where I'm just watching a random TV show and a commercial for a shooter that I seen ten times earlier in the day flashes five times during that show, that's a problem.
I have other thoughts on the engine but that is more toward Microsoft and Sony and if everybody lived in a perfect world scenario.

It seems like the majority of gamers in GoNintendo (Yes, I am referring to motherbra1n and more GoNintendo users) and on the internet (IGN, GameTrailers, GameSpot, etc.) hate the name, Wii U, with a vengeance.

The point I was making was that a majority of the big games that were released multi platform for the PS3 and 360 were made with UE3. Regardless of it being something you "aren't impressed with", we would just have another wii situation where none of the other next gen multi platform games that people actually give a crap about will come out on the WIi U. It's something that the Wii U needs.
Regardless, to each his own. There are a lot of games on that list that I specifically own a 360 for (which aren't like Call of Duty, because I hate those kind of games)

Sure, but what would be the point of moving a button that you only need to use once to the top of the controller?

Accessibility. You also might want to sync it with somebody else's system if you go over to their house.

FelipeGonc wrote:Even so, I don't think it would get enough usage to justify its positioning. After all, the Wii Remote was also intended to be synced with other consoles (there was that underused feature of carrying Miis and other information in your controller) and the button was still under the battery lid.

Jack_Atlas wrote:And my point is don't make assumptions, just because I am not "impressed" with the engine does not mean I am discrediting it, because I knew the consequences of not having it on the system way before the original Wii came up.
Now say the Wii U some how miraculously is announced to be able to fully support all features of UE4, lightning hits twice for Nintendo and sells really well, but because of the controller, Microsoft and Sony pull the "we're hardcore" PR and every third party developer just abandons the Wii U.
The reasoning could be that Microsoft used their deep pockets or the fact that it's just Nintendo and the third party mentality. The fact is Nintendo could do everything right for the Wii U by getting popular engine support, but that does not guarantee software releases.
I may have quoted one person but my comment was directed at all three of you, because I can not talk to three people at once.

But it doesn't really show if the new Wii U controller has analog triggers though there has been speculation that the new Wii U controller may have analog triggers.

Broken_Cartridge wrote:"Don't make assumptions", that's a very great point. I just find it very interesting that the basis of your argument is founded on them. Don't tell me to not make assumptions if you're just going to turn around and make them yourself.
That's from the patent that added the analogs in.

LegendofZelda1996 wrote:1.) Jack_Atlas was talking to ddddd about dddd should not assume that the Wii U will not support Unreal Engine 4 since there is very few information concerning Unreal Engine 4.
2.) I know that, but the patent itself looks vague and does not show if the Wii U has analog triggers or not.
