Analyst predicts Retro working on Metroid Prime 4, Zelda for

People, these are question pertaining to what will be seen at E3 ONLY. If the analyst says no to CoD:BO2, it's not forever, it only means he doesn't believe it'll be announced at E3
Shy Guy? How did I return to that?? I was a Koopa? ... AWESOME!

I personally think we'll get very little about Smash Bros this E3. That is, we won't get NOTHING, but what we will get will be at most a few random comments, perhaps a name drop if they announce a new online system that it would eventually be using.

Personally I think, if they are far enough along to decide on potential visual styles and possibly a confirmed new character or two(ala Pit, Meta Knight and Snake in the Brawl teaser) they could make a non-gameplay teaser like the Zelda demo, showing off existing concepts or locations done in HD running on the Wii U, showing off how things like Mario with his Smash Bros denim and Pikachu's cartoon fur could look on the Wii U and possibly revealing someone new. It would make a great showoffy tech demo while also giving people a basic image to apply to the Wii U game at least, as well as a chance to mention things like how long they think it'll take(2 years? 3? 5?) and start the hype.

Then again, considering the game of telephone and hype and wait that caused some of Brawl's problems("There will be no clones at all" and "You must recover!") hype might be a bad idea...

@JabuJabule

Could be a different story arc, something not covering Phazon.

All seem plausible, except for MP4, BLOPS 2 and Pikmin 3.

But it is Nintendo, so you never know.

Does anyone else hate how people keep asking Retro to make a "Metroid Prime 4"? I mean I'd love to see another Metroid game from Retro but the Prime TRILOGY is done. Heck, it could be the exact same game but it should be given different name, the prime trilogy ended when Dark Samus (aka Metroid Prime) and all of the Phazon were destryed.

A smash bros 4 teaser? I want to believe that but wouldn't it be too soon for footage of that game? I mean didn't work only start on it after kid Icarus was finished? I just can't see there being anything to show really in such a short time.

You can make a teaser without using in-game footage. :wink:

That would just be too cruel for me, it's like being handed a lovely looking wraped present but told I could never open open it :-( lol

We might not see anything with Smash Bros considering that Sakurai has only been done with Kid Icarus for a few months. Prime 4 I also find to be dubious. The series was pretty tapped as far as ideas went and if Retro did come back it'd probably be better to do a new style or have Other M's gameplay. I would like to see Jessica Martin back as Samus.

I like how the general tone from EVERYONE is "Nintendo, please change the name from Wii U to something better, though we know you are stubborn as **** and won't do it!"

Really though Nintendo. Change that freaking name. Wii U is an awful name for the next console. Please make it more appealing!

@Fossils

I am not one who really wants one (MP3 was bad enough), but how else would you have people say they want another Retro-developed Metroid First-person-adventure that continues the style/plot/mechanics found in the the Metroid Prime Trilogy and not in the same vein as unrelated spin-off Metroid Prime: Hunters? 'Metroid Prime 4' is just an easy short-hand.

I don't think NA gamers will get Pandora's Tower, it didn't do well in Europe and its a pretty mediocre title so its no great loss. Maybe it'll hit whatever the Wii U has for eShop but if Nintendo didn't think Last Story was viable for them to release I'd doubt that a C+ grade title like PT would. Best bet is another publisher picking it up like with Last Story.

Ditching the Wii brand would be a stupid business decision though.

This sounds a little more believable than the crossover one, but a Prime 4 is out of the question. Pretty sure Retro wants to move on from being known only for Metroid Prime.

I saw him live, and actually talked with him (less than a minute, but he answered my question). :P
When you listen to him, you just KNOW he knows his stuff.
When he says something, it's always backed by data (or can be), and it shows. He's one of the rare analyst that never stopped believing in Nintendo. He's also very respectful. Like him a lot.
