Remember how Nintendo yanked the GameCube compatibility in the latest round of Wiis? Turns out someone wasn't too happy with that, so they modded a newer Wii to make it play Cube games!

Solder them back in, install homebrew on the Wii, install the proper gamecube IOS's

It would have been easier to buy an older, used Wii. Still, I'm always impressed by people that can mod consoles.

Reminds me of how the DS had the hardware to use an e-Reader, but just didn't have the ports in the right spots.

I know that the DS Lite model actually "fixed" that, although I wonder if that was actually intentional.

Well, if you google it, you can find a program that can do that... you cant load GC data from the sd, but you can make a back up of a GC save in your SD card, also you can download GC saves, put them in the sd card and then write them in the GC memory card...

I don't know, sure, it's a mod but… I don't really see the point in it, other than showing homebrew.
