In B3D Forum, Li Mu Bai, a user in B3D Forum, strongly believes that the Wii U will not run Unreal Engine 4 (even though we are not sure if that is entirely true or not). Here is what he has to say.

"officially" will not run UE4, this is no surprise to anyone here. (I said as much) An official confirmation of sorts from Geoff Keighley, via twitter, courtesy of Nirolak at Neo-Gaf:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=475868 I said that it was a transitional console, I didn't mince words. This term was meant to clearly deliniate the Wii U as beyond this console generation's visual & feature set capabilities, though not occupying the same technical power space as the Orbis & Durango.
http://forum.beyond3d.com/showpost.php? ... count=1030I think that people will that this is true since they think that Nintendo does not give a s**t about the power of the Wii U, but I still doubt the validity of this statement since Epic clearly said:
Epic wrote:(Epic) has not confirmed platforms for Unreal Engine 4 beyond PC.

According to Li Mu Bai, the GPU of the Wii U is capable of doing most the modern rendering & shading techniques that the supposed GPU of the PlayStation 4 & XBOX 720 can do. Here is what he said:
