It's too early for a 3DS face lift!

The system launched 2011, the original NDS launched 2004 and the DS Lite summer 2006. Maybe the 3DS will have a new version 2013-2014, BUT never 2012!

I don't see how it's a slap in the face, don't get me wrong but it's not like the hardware inside of the 3DS will be changed leaving the older type 3DS obsolete with games and such, take Apple for example. Some people might just prefer a bigger sized 3DS and will no doubt be willing to pay the extra price as a revision with a bigger screen and what-not will not be cheaper, I don't see how it's a slap in the face, nobody will be forcing you to purchase it if it comes about and you can carry on playing all those fantastic games still on the 3DS you already have. Revisions are good especially for people with bad eye sight who find the screens too small.

Bought at $250, Day 1. Price Drop Happens, Free Games, so I'm cool with it. 3DSXL Announced, which it be like $189-$199, still lower than what I payed for, and a Larger screen. 95% of my friends were also $250 purchaser, texting me mad if they announce an XL this soon. Just because of that.

The price drop was a pain I will admit but I guess Nintendo was having worries. I myself was never satisfied with the original 3DS but bought one at launch as I was looking forward to the games, I could of waited but I wouldn't of been able to wait for a revision and a revision with a bigger screen is something I have been hoping for. I remember I had the original big grey DS that came out and kept that until the DSi XL came out while most people I knew had a DS lite and DSi.

It came out a year and a half ago... You've had plenty of play time since then as an early adopter. Heck, I guess the WiiU is a huge slap in the face to anyone that ever bought a Wii, or Gamecube... or NES.

...wut? wii U serious?

DS Lite, DSi, Korean 3DS launch... Nikkei has leaked everything before, and every time Nintendo denies it. And guess what? THEY ALL COME TRUE. Hm.

Nintendo denies Nikkei reports, no 3DS redesign

Postby scikoolaid » 04 Jun 2012 23:39

As someone who bought day 1 250 big ones for 3ds and actually already owned 90% of the free games they gave to us. I will be happy to see if a revision (3DSXL) is a good investment. Because if it is, I'm going to immediately get one, transfer all my data and sell off my current model ASAP. I want a more comfortable form factor at the very least. And maybe less clicky buttons.
Take what you can as the government self-destructs under the pressure of growing debt, avoid and refuse higher taxes. The end is nigh.

Nintendo denies Nikkei reports, no 3DS redesign

I'm a 3DS early adopter, and I want a redesign now. It's not like I'm being less screwed over if they release it later. It actually means that MORE people will get screwed over.
