Ghost Recon Online! What happened to it?

How come nobody's asked Ubisoft that question so far?

I for one was/am pretty excited for that game. Has the Wii U version been canceled?
I am excited for ZombiU, Rayman and ACIII, but the rest of Ubi's line up is full of casual mini game compilations/fitness games.

in that case, the wiiu version is probably canned. if was going to speculate on why... they were gonna do it, then saw the direction nintendo was going with the system and were like "...yea.. we're gonna take our stuff over here now, you can have this shovel ready stuff" but it was too late to back out of AC3.

I wouldn't call this game amazing tbh.. It's just another online, F2P, cash shop shooter. I kinda wanted to try it out on the wii u, but I guess now I won't be able to. lol

Well, let's wait and see how big Wii U's internal memory's gonna be. At some point though, we'll definitely need a hard drive or a flash card. The e - shop games won't be small in size, that's for sure.

It was a Ghost Recon game, right? It was hyped up to be exclusive on PC and Wii U. I haven't heard about it for a while so what exactly happened to it? I remember tons of people getting excited with Ubisoft giving lots of news about the game.

Did it even hit PC yet?

Already out on PC, pretty much cancelled on WiiU.

Was that official? I mean, I'm sure thats the case, i just don't remember reading an official statement. Last i heard, they wanted to focus on the PC version so they put the WiiU version on hold so they could combine their efforts. I haven't tried the PC version, so i don't know if they are still focused on it and continuing to update it, or if they just gave up on it.

If they are still supporting the PC version, i think once its to the point where they are satisfied, they may go back and complete the WiiU version. Even if its still a year off, it could be a decent free-to-play/pay-to-win game. As long as it doesn't take the spot of a proper Ghost Recon release which I'm sure is coming at some point.

Nothing official beyond the "on hold" comment, a couple of games disappeared since E3 2011 so I wouldn't be surprised this one did as well. Ubi is a pretty big publisher, going from having a playable demo at E3 to not launch and be put "on hold" is kind of weird though.
