Wii U game suggestions/recommendations

A realistic launch day to me is looking like: (for those complaining about old ports)


Zombi U (new game)
Nintendoland(hopefully comes with it) (new game)
Tank! Tank! Tank! (new game)
Aliens Colonial Marines (new game)
New Super Mario Bros U (new game)

And if they make launch or within launch window:

Pikmin 3 (new game)
Project P100 (new game)
Game and Wario (new game)


Games I will pick up down the road:

Batman Armored (old port)
Lego City (new game)
Rayman Legends (new game)
Tekken Tag 2 (new game)
Tenchu Cree... I mean Assassins Creed 3 (new game)
Scribblenauts Unlimited (new game)

Games I may pick up later:

Mass Effect 3 (old port)
Ninja Gaiden 3 (old port) (edit: possibly a little more than that and may be moving up on my list to day 1)
Darksiders 2 (will be new enough)

Definitely not a lack of content to choose from.

I want 3 games at launch but I am set on getting the black Wii U (Provided they don't make an even better color). I know I'm getting Batman Arkham City Armored Edition & Darksiders 2. the 3rd game is up in the air. It's between Tekken, Pikmin, Lego City Undercover, Mass Effect, and some others. I'm going to look at that P-100 to see what's it's like as well as Sonic racing and Rayman Legends. I'm going to play Ninja Gaiden on my PS3 to see if I want the new game. I may go for a 4th game. I'm hoping Nintendoland is a pack in.

I'm 100% getting Tank! Tank! Tank! and ZombiU on launch. I'll be using Christmas to pick up the remaining titles that come out. I think I can also manage in Mario Bros U.

That's honestly my number one most anticipated game. Hopefully Transformed will be released at launch, but if not I think ZombiU and New Super Mario Bros. U will be on my launch-list.

I hate to be a downer, but... I played the game at E3 for the PS3, and that game, while it looked amazing, had maaaajor framerate issues. This is a racing game! You can't have dips below 20fps! Maybe they will utilize the Wii U's extra power to improve that aspect, but I don't see Sega doing that. Be wary of this one.

You are better off waiting for the WiiU version of Ninja Gaiden 3 the 360/PS3 version sucks. so Nintendo is making Team Ninja Remake the game and Nintendo will be publishing it.

Off all the games I saw... the only one I think I want(at launch) is zombiu. I either have everything else on PC/PS3 already. I'm probably not gonna wait to buy Darksiders.

I need to see more of P-100. I was a backer so I'm already getting Cloudberry.

I need to see more info(previews, reviews etc) on the other stuff.

It's a good idea, especially for the games like Batman, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, etc. Buying those may get us collections of the older games for the system. I don't know about you, but I hate buying Something Something 3 and not having the rest of the series.

Now, if they would just drop the numbers in the titles, I could easily play away and not have to worry about the previous entries. OCD just makes it feel too incomplete.

Yeah, but it's looking more like a survival horror FPS rather than just a twitch shooter like CoD. I hope it uses Wii-mote+ and chuck, but I can adapt to anything for this type of game. CoD and other FPS shooters better be using the +chuck though, I can't go back on that type of shooter.

Pikmin 3, ZombiU and Batman: Arkham City for sure. Maybe Rayman Legends. Lego City Undercover actually appealed to me alot, which I wasn't expecting. Might grab it later on.

I'm thinking I will grab NSMBU, but I will likely skip on NSMB2 on 3DS, I just...too much Mario, I admit it.

ZombiU, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Scribblenauts Unlimited has peaked my interest (especially since I never played any of the other Scribblenaut games before), so I may get that as well. I'm not mentioning Nintendo Land since it'll more than likely be a pack-in.

I usually get 2 new games at launch. So far New Super Mario Bros. U and Pikmin 3 are at the top of my list. But if one of those isn't at launch Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, ZombiU or Aliens Colonial Marines all sound promising.

i don't know why, but i am looking forward to assassin's creed III soooooooooooooooo much. maybe it's the american revolution theme, i dunno. it looks sick though, and it's coming to nintendo, baby. new super mario bros mario u and pikmin 3 are a given, and nintendo land had best be a pack in. to round things out, i think i would get darksiders 2. zombiu, project p-100, and lego cities would be maybes.

I'm getting Pikmin 3 and Mario Bros U guaranteed.

Will likely get Zombi U (reviews pending of course) and Black Ops 2 if it does come to Wii U.

Lego City, Trine 2, Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, Rayman Legends are strong maybes.

I'm kinda conflicted. I want to support Rayman but I know it will tank at retail and be $20 by January or Feb.

As of right now, I am most interested in Pikmin 3, NSMBU and ZombiU. I figure my brother will get both Assassin's Creed 3 and Darksiders 2, so I'll save some money that way. Hope for black Wii U at launch, but a white works well for me, too. Can't wait!

I have heard that Codemasters will make a Formula One game for Wii U, and if that game looks fun, and is released around launch, I might get that as well!
