I love how the Stalfos/Skeleton is probably the best looking thing there lol... Everything else unfortunately doesn't look that good...

The Legend of Zelda: Dark Sage fan project - finale teaser

Postby CHAOSDRAGON88 » 10 Jun 2012 04:39

As I'm sure there were plenty of man hours that went in this, it was far more hilarious then epic, the design took away anything the trailer intended to be. The presentation is very good, as is the music, I'd assume it also would be directed nicely given the quality of the trailer. But the Graphical style does more harm than good.

The Legend of Zelda: Dark Sage fan project - finale teaser

Postby motherbra1n » 10 Jun 2012 07:06

take it easy guys, this is being made by one person and it takes a lot of effort to accomplish something like this when you're on your own.

The first dark sage was a great video and you really shouldn't expect pixar or dreamworks quality character models when it's just one person doing this all by himself.

oh and fi looks amazing

what's wrong with you guys?

watch the five minutes of the original one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp8dQhyJRBs - it's really good! the character models might not be perfect, but just use your imagination to create this "Zelda" feeling in your head.

from what I can see, the second one will be very interesting as well.

imagine how much work this was before posting crap like this. would you want to read "I literally lol'd. That was hilarious" after weeks of work?! gosh.

Say what you will, this is very impressive for one person, as was the original Dark Sage clip. Of course this isn't going to look professional, it's the work of a single fan. But the first one was pretty cool, especially the fight scene.

I used to do computer animation, & I know how hard and time consuming it can be. That said, know your limits and work with in them. If this guy made Zelda: Adventure Time we would all be loving it, but he's made Zelda: Skyrim, and well...

'One person' can do a lot better than this. See it all the time. Not an excuse.

Just saw the first episode. Not bad, at all. The creation of the world was well done. Still, I kind of hate how every sword fight in fan films now a days are identical to Star Wars light saber battles. Nitpicking, I know, but you cannot do that with swords that heavy.

In comparison, check out this Zelda fan-film. It's made by two people, but it's significantly shorter.
