Mario Kart 8/WiiU Character Prediction Thread

Because we know Nintendo is already thinking about this game, but what old character will back? and what new characters wii be there?

In my personal opinion, i would like to see a Wario Ware character in the game as Mona or Ashley (ashley plz ) and Cranky Kong would be hilarious to see driving in grumpy mode

Maybe the koopalings as bosses in missions (maybe) or download as QR Code like in mario tennis open´s Yoshis

I'd say the Koopalings would be great additions and pretty feasible considering Nintendo has been putting them into Mario games again.

I was actually hoping for at least one of them in Mario Kart 7. But Honey Queen is a far more important character than any of them apparently.

If there's one character who really deserves a spot in a Mario Kart game though, that should by all rights have made an appearance by now, it's Professor E. Gadd from Luigi's Mansion.

I would want Pauline because Mario games can always use more females and it's 20+ years overdue for her to be playable.

But you know, Mario Kart rosters tend to be half reasonable and half crazy, so I'm sure people worthless such as Metal Mario/Dry Bowser will make a reappearance alongside new characters such as "Mario Without Hat" and "Other Kong That's Not Dixie."

Of those, I think the Hammer Bro is the most likely to be playable. ^^

Yeah I think Hammer Bro would be best suited for the next mario kart. I can see him being one of those power-type people.

Certainly classic characters who were absent in MK7, will return for the WiiU (babies, Birdo, Toadette). I would like to see more characters from DK, at last Dixie and Donkey Kong Jr with his diaper again. It would also be fun to include the amazing Booster

Exactly, many never imaginated that Funky Kong would appears in a MARIO KART game, and then he appears in MKWii, maybe the next level are the Wario Ware Characters.

I don't think that will force their hand at all. This is the second Sonic & Allstars Racing game that has come out. The first one did not "force Nintendo's hand" to do anything...so I don't see this doing that either. Nintendo has always gone to the beat of their own drum.

Now, I personally believe that all of their sports franchises should stop being "Mario" exclusive and have characters from all of their franchises be a part of it. I do think that it is the only thing that Nintendo could do to rekindle my interest in any of the Mario sports games.

E Gadd seems a likely one, as does Hammer Bro (well he was in Mario Party and Kamek (Mario Party 9 and going to be in Mario Kart 64 before being cut). As much as I'd like a Wario character, I'm never going to bet on one being included, Nintendo never seems to like including them in Mario spinoffs. And the Koopalings... well they're decent characters, but I don't want them in just because they usually come as a group, and they don't deserve seven character slots.

On a personal level, I would like to see them stick to the path MK7 took, on a couple of different notes. Meaning, no bikes chiefly, and no pointless baby characters. I know some people are fans of the baby characters, and that's fine. But I have always felt they are a waste of space. They take up roster space that could and should be given to other characters.

As for who I'd LIKE to see?

No, I don't think so. Mario Kart is Mario Kart, should remain that way. I wouldn't MIND seeing some sort of "Nintendo All-Stars" racing game come about. But I'd want it to be separate from Mario Kart.

Perfect selection of characters and their is no excuse why their shouldn't be at least this many when it's running on powerful hardware and is capable of DLC. I'm also hoping this Double Dash 2 with Incorporated Panarama View.

I'd like to see a Koopaling or more (not all of them though, would take up too many slots), and Dixie Kong.
Possibly someone from Warioware... if so I guess they would go with Mona, or possibly Jimmy. 9-Volt would be really cool though!

Also, please bring Waluigi back! And keep Lakitu (I like Lakitu)

The Koopalings would be awesome, but they can't use all of them, and just using one would feel a little odd. Therefore, I'd say Bowser Jr has a much bigger chance. Especially since he's already been in a MK twice.

But E. Gadd is really a must for me. ^^ And maybe King Boo (the real King Boo, but that faker in Double Dash!)
Doubt we'll see a Goomba, but Hammer Bro could work well.

IF we get a Koopaling (I can't see them including all of them, unless the number of characters increases dramatically, to be akin to Mario Superstar Baseball or something like that), I think it will be either Ludwig or Wendy O. They seem to be more prominent than the others, in terms of design.
