You also said "That is all" at the end of your post, so maybe he thought that was the end of the thread...

FadedAreWii wrote:...what Final Fantasy XII should have been.
Seriously. When FFXII opened up on the underworld, it was decent for a minute, but all those one path linear levels just weren't right for an RPG like FF. Xenoblade is completely opened up, like FFXIII should have been. The entire world is practically like the underworld of FFXIII. This isn't the only similarity by far. I didn't like FFXIII where you only got to control one character and set up strategies. I mean, it was cool, but it wasn't FF. SO I was worried going into Xeno I wasn't going to like it, but it just does it right, and I still have times where I get to control the other characters' moves during battle.
There are more similarities but done better, imo, in Xeno too.

Broken_Cartridge wrote:So, I just recently started getting into the game (didn't have time before), and I have a couple questions that I would like to ask.
1) I have some side quests that have a clock timer thing next to them. Does that mean I need to do them before something in the story happens and makes them moot, or that I need to do them during a specific period of time/events (or both)
2) I don't remember if there are any repercussions from dying. When you die does anything bad happen (i.e. losing inventory, money, etc)?
For anyone curious, I'm atSpoiler:
Sort of. There are multiple sets of timed quests that end at different points in the game. The timed quests where Broken_Cartridge currently is can be ended (the event that makes them expire is optional) after maybe two or three more areas have been passed.Ngamer01 wrote:To answer the questions:
1) The timed quests should be dealt with as soon as possible for you, but they generally won't expire until far later as you work toward "the point of no return". The game should warn you when you are nearing the point where the timed quests will expire.

It really makes me wish the Quest interface and Affinity Charts were more integrated, considering almost everything is. It's a gigantic flaw in a game that I love to death at the moment, and is the reason I keep putting it down.
