What are you getting: Wii U or 3DS XL?

I don't really think that the 3DS XL is an attempt to make all previous 3DS owners cash out extra money, but to give consumers more options when buying the portable. I think it has the same kind of intent that the DSi XL had which was "What one do you want? A large one with big screens, or a smaller one that is easier to take on the go". Sure if that causes people to jump ship from their current 3DS' Nintendo would be all about that, but I wouldn't say that Nintendo wants 500+ from people who already own a 3DS.
TL:DR 3DS XL is about options not money milking consumers.

Anyways, just stating my opinion, but back to the question. What am I getting? Probably both. What am I buying? The 3DS XL when a color I want comes out (I think they'll put out another color before the holidays. If not/if it isn't a color that I want then I won't be getting one this year) I don't intend on purchasing a Wii U, but I'll probably end up being given one.

I'll be getting the Wii U, but not until black comes out. I'll also be getting the 3DS XL, but not until black comes out.

I voted both, but we will see how things go with the color options. I have no problem waiting for the color I want.

Zelda 3DS. If I had a red 3DS I'd be more inclined to trade in, but nope.

Wii U I already have $200 saved for right now. Next paycheque I'll have the console paid off, and then I'll be saving for the games, haha.

Since I already have a 3DS and am happy with the size of the screen I will be only getting the Wii U. I already have $130 saved up. Though I still plan on buying a lot of 3DS games like NSMB2, Lugi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Paper Mario, Epic Mickey Power of Illusion, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Lego City Undercover, and a lot more including downloadable games.

I can't properly answer this. I can say the chances of me getting a Wii U at launch are very low. However, as time goes on and it gets SSB4 and a Zelda I will want it.

Wii U for sure. I'm just not a big handheld player like I use to be, and I prefer only gaming with just consoles today. So the 3DS XL will not be getting my attention.

I'm more excited by the games that will be out this year for the 3DS then I am for the Wii U, and the thought of playing them on a bigger screen will be pretty sweet so I will be picking up the 3DS XL first then Wii U later this year.

haha, I certainly could do the same And hey, maybe it's a better decision than letting the money sit in a bank and be eaten away by inflation. But when I still havee quality unopened Wii games to play I see no reason to buy a Wii U this year.
