80GB PS3 still no energy saver

Postby the_sackboy » 24 Aug 2008 08:16

Your electric bill will be down a bit if you have a PS3 80GB. Some research and tests done by a "curious buyer", the 40GB used 125.8-watts at idle, while the shiny new 80GB used only 111.9-watts. Apparently, this still isn't enough for said "curious buyer" who plans on returning the 80GB PS3 because it didn't save enough energy. I wish I could see the customer service employee's reaction when told that reason for return.

that curious buyer sounds bloody retarded to me. if someone is THAT concerned about conserving energy; they shouldn't be buying or using electric recreational items in the first place, let alone a high-powered computing device.

if i were the customer service rep and that was their reason; i'd be charging the full restocking fee for that.
