Next VC titles confirmed for the Nintendo eShop!

Postby Demyx » 22 Jun 2012 02:33

There is a new video from Nintendo with the next VC titles for the USA and the confirmed release date so if someone missed them here they are:
July 5th, The Legend of Zelda (NES)
July 12th, Kirby's Pinball Land (GB)
July 12th, The Sword of Hope II (GB)
July 19th, Kid Icarus: of Myths and Monsters (GB)
July 19th, Tumblepop (GB)
July 26th, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (GB)
Sonic Blast (no date yet)
Sonic Labyrinth (no date yet)

MY BODY IS SO READY!! (Sorry I had to say it!)

On that list there are only two games that I really want:
-Kid Icarus
-Wario Land

I already have Zelda, and no other games really interest me. (I may check out Pinball Land if I have some spare cash.)
Hopefully we continue to get decent games while this goes on, otherwise it seems like Nintendo picks one part of their shop to emphasize at a time.

I heard that both Sonic games were a waste of time, so I'll have to read some reviews for them. However, I am going to buy Kirby's Pinball, Wario Land, and the Kid Icarus title.

Definitely picking up Wario Land and Kid Icarus. That's two more Game Boy games I once owned to add to my 3DS collection!

Eh, only title I really want is Wario Land.

There's still so many great games they haven't touched for some reason... Pokemon Gens I and II, the Final Fantasy Adventure series, the Zelda Oracle games, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge/Tetris Attack, MGS: Ghost Babel and Shantae come to mind. It looks like they're trying to pick up the pace though. They need to release more of these games more often, and then move onto the GBA games, which also need some love.

Need more Wario Blast! That game was awesome! I really recommend Kirby's pinball land, really good pinball game! Sonic labyrinth isn't as bad people make it out to be. (sonic blast is though) Sonic labyrinth is kinda a puzzles game, sonic is dropped into a room and must find 3 keys to open the exit, the gimmick is sonic can't run only spindash.

Still though I would really like Sonic 2 and Sonic Chaos on the virtual console.

Definitely going to pick up the Kid Icarus game and maybe the Wario game.

Now, Nintendo, just put the Pokemon games on the eShop and back away slowly...

I feel like it has taken a insanely long time to get Wario Land here, finally its coming ! I have never played the Kid Icarus game but I am pumped for it! Also I will pick up the other GB games just to check them out, cant complain to much if they are under $5!

To put the Pokemon titles on there they would have to do more work than they usually do with VC titles. You need to have trading intact to transfer version exclusives and to evolve guys like Haunter and Kadabra.

Maybe they'd add some sort of separate transfer utility in order to make it work without heavily modifying a 17(?) year old game for a $5 emulation release. Or they might just ignore them like Pokemon Stadium. *sigh*

My Pokemon Silver internal battery recently died, so it would be nice to have these games in a format that won't eventually erase everything.

No on the pokemon games... they're obsolete, completely incompatable with any games 3rd through 5th gen. for all the nostalgia they hold, i don't understand how anybody could want to buy them again when you can't use them with the current games. just emulate if you still have the original cartridge.

I think they should re release the old games and have the Pokemon in the game have data from the new games. I know that would take a little bit of work, but if they did that then they could do something for a 3DS Pokemon game that allows you to trade in Pokemon from your VC Pokemon games.... I think that would be awesome

.....I can dream can't I?

I don't care at all about compatibility. Pokemon Generations 1 and 2 are much better than any other generation (and i still like Generations 3-5). I would buy any Gen. 1 or 2 Pokemon game immediately if they put them on the Virtual Console.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is the only one that interests me. Hopefully some Donkey Kong Land games appear soon after these games release. ^_^

Pokemon Red and Blue could have compatibility with each other and with Pokemon Stadium via a small wireless patch.

Some people would love to go through the original games in their classic graphics, including horribly pixelated battles. While I love the new games, but a lot of people missed out on the originals and would love to play them on their 3DS. I would bet that either Red or Blue would blow every other eShop download out of the water in a matter of days!

Wait for it.... Nintendo releases Pokemon Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Versions on the virtual console. Do you know how badly some Pokemon fans want a North American Release of Green? It'd sell like hot cakes.

I know it'll be here before we know it, but in money terms, Wario Land is a long way away.. :c Getting the 'full version' of Zelda will be nice, but otherwise I was hoping for some more unique/interesting titles mixed in with those(aside from Kid Icarus, which isn't my cup of tea anyway really). Oh well.

I doubt we will see any of the Pokemon games, cause it simply doesn't make sense. If we do it will most likely be Pokemon Yellow since that one is the most unique of the classic games, and never got a re-release.

Not sure what world you live in where anyone would care if they were compatible with current gen.

People would literally just play them for nostalgia. They could trade with each other and people would be perfectly fine not sending them to Gen 3-5.

Heck, I didn't even battle or trade most of the time in Gen 1 or 2 other than trading for the few exclusives. I just played through the game and leveled up and worked on the Pokedex. I'm not really into battling other people since I don't build my teams for that.

Yes it was, Heart Gold and Soul Silver are basically a remake of Crystal with blending of the Gold and Silver games.

It doesn't make sense cause you can already get Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, or White and Black, with Black 2 and White 2 coming in just a few months.

Why release Red or Blue for $5+ when you can make more with the ones already on the market?
