Sometimes when other users are posting in a story I'll wonder where their avatars are from. So I decided to start a topic where you can basically reply and tell us a little about your avatar icon.

Mine, if you didn't already know, is promotional artwork for Cave Story 3D depicting a Prinny (from NIS's Disgaea series) wearing the scarf and hat, and wielding the Polar Star gun of Mister Traveler*, the main character of Cave Story.

Last year I was playing a lot of Epic Yarn with my girlfriend and I decided "WHAT IF...TINGLE..."

And I went to Photoshop and drew a chibi Tingle and tried as best I could to match the 'yarn' style and used a texture for the background and clone-stamped the crap out of the 'patch' background to make the beige part.

So I made my own Epic Yarn Tingle.

Been considering changing it though, but I haven't made a decision on what to change to, so this will remain for a while. I'm indecisive.

Okay I'll grant the topic title is awkward, but there is a character limit in it. Anyway, what I mean is, do you have any special reason why you use the avatar that you have now?

At the time of making this topic my avatar is cropped artwork of Poison as she appears in Street Fighter X Tekken (if it's different at the time you're reading this then scroll down or something, I'll likely have made a new post about whatever new avatar I have). My reason for having her as my avatar is for two reasons really: for one she's one of my favorite characters from the Final Fight series as a whole (along with Cody and Haggar), and also because of the fact she's one of the most recognized transsexual characters in gaming. Why is that significant? Because I'm a male-to-female transsexual, so in a way you could say Poison's like one of those fictional characters I look up to for breaking boundaries in one of my favorite forms of entertainment (even if she did get censored by NoA and Capcom USA back on the SNES).
