This was what I was going to say. I'd love it if they could continue the series.

We're long overdue for a new Custom Robo, methinks. Let's see one for both systems with cross-platform play of some sort. Or not. Just as long as we get something!

An HD Chibi-Robo would be fantastic. Along with a new Wave Race to compliment a new F-Zero.

*Wave Race
*Sutte Hakkun
*Mole Mania
*Shin Onigashima
*Ice Climber
*Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru / For the Frog the Bell Tolls
*Bringing back the original idea of fairies to Panel de Pon/Puzzle League

Those are the ones I can think of.

MARIO PAINT! I've wanted a sequel for so many years now. I also would like to see Wave Race, 1080 Snowboarding, and Legendary Starfy (the DS game was fun!)

I've played Mario Paint for so long that it made me forget that it's lesser known, thanks for reminding me. I am a big fan of the game and would also like to see a new one.

Ice Climber. RMC has said he doesn't want a new game, but he acts like it has to be the same as the NES game. You know, just like how Kid Icarus Uprising is the same as the NES game... OH...

But yeah, I think it should get an overhaul as an adventure game, potentially a 3D sidescroller like Kirby Return to Dreamland (but 3D in general works too) and you could have a simple plot, platforming, tons of different types of mountains (rocky, volcano, icy, etc) and upgrades for the hammer and climbing gear. You could have co-op Popo/Nana play and each mountain have different collectible veggies and enemies, and there would be bosses.

It would be amazing.

Another series that needs to come back is Starfy. NA only got the most recent game, and then they stopped the series altogether. We need a 3DS sequel. It would look awesome. And really, if GBA games come to 3DS VC, we should get the first 3 Starfy titles as Imports. D:

A new Chibi-Robo, taking it back inside and making it a house cleaning game, perhaps this time with a mansion or something, would be fantastic. I love Skip LTD., and I'm still mad that I never got to try Captain Rainbow.

And of course, Wave Race, while not obscure by any means, is something I've been waiting for since Wii. HD water effects make me drool just thinking about them. Anyone who knows me on here knows that I'm far from a graphics whore, but great water effects are one of my graphical weaknesses. I love 'em.

I think it would be great to see another Star Tropics, though honestly, I would want it to stay 2D, and spite based. Too many games are 3D nowadays....I'd really like to see even more of a resurgence of 2D to kind of balance that out. And I think Star Tropics needs to stay top down and sprite based anyway...it could look gorgeous, and the only way it would still PLAY right, is with sprites.

I always thought it would be cool of Nintendo to make a "retro" series, either as a compilation, or as individual downloads, kind of "retro remakes" of games like Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Mach Rider, Wrecking Crew, Duck Hunt, Radar Scope, Devil World, Ice Climbers, etc. I'd love to see all of those brought back, but do it in the same way that Namco has done their "Generations" series, meaning keep the retro looking sprites, but it can still look "modern" and HD.

Hell, for that matter, I'd love to see Super Mario Bros. 1 get that treatment.

Wish I could do the same, but I regrettably sold my copy years ago ;_;

Absolutely needs to happen. As in, must. Would've been good for the Wii, it'd be even better on 3DS/Wii U.

Like MoldyClay I also want Ice Climber. It could be like a championship edition of it like they have with Pac-Man.

That's what I was saying. It would be sweet for them to give that exact kind of treatment, "retro" graphics included, to Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Ice Climber, Wrecking Crew, Mario Bros., etc.

This all reminds me, I can't even express how much I loved Pac Man Championship Edition, and more so the DX version or whatever.

Forget 3D Classics, Nintendo. I want everything to be similar to that. Give me neon colors, add crazy new abilities and make the games nuts.

NSMB2 could've been like this. Use SMB3 graphics and spam the game with crazy colors, millions of coins and crazy power-ups.

Galaga Legion or whatever it is called, is very similar, and also amazing, so long as you play it with the awesome classic sprite graphics. I don't think I'd want Mario with neon, but I WOULD love to have a DK or SMB remake with "better", HD versions of those classic, blocky sprites. Basically make everything multi-plained and HD, but still retain the same LOOK from DK and SMB1. That would be awesome. Though I wouldn't complain with SMB3 graphics either.

I would personally like to see the lesser known franchise known as "Me-Tro-ID" appear on Wii U. Nintendo hasn't made one of these things in almost a decade (2004), and that was a remake of the original from 1986. It was a pretty good game, but it doesn't seem like many people inside the company know the series exists anymore.

They don't need neon. I am thinking more it could be like, um... how Pac-Man (and Galaga) had the option to change sprite styles and stuff. Have it as an option.

But yes.

I was going to make a comment about the "since 2004" thing, but you're technically right. While we've had some since then, they weren't made directly by Nintendo, and a few were not even the same style.

Honestly, I really want this series to make a comeback again. I'm so mad that they ignored the anniversary, and while I enjoyed the last game that came out, I don't want Nintendo to abandon it over the bad taste it left in some people's mouths. D:

I agree with you. It needs to be done by Nintendo. It needs to be 2D sprites, and it needs to be on Wii U (not just 3DS). I want to see hand drawn sprites, and 2D gaming goodness, in HD on a big screen. I want to see the next Super Metroid, fer shizzle.

It doesn't NEED to be 2D sprites, but I definitely agree that the next game should look like Mighty Switch Force/HD. Especially if we get it on 3DS. The layers of depth and hand-drawn graphics. Oh god.

But yeah, I want a 3DS game first, because I want another portable 2D game, but I definitely think they should do a 2D game for Wii U as well, before the inevitable First-Person Adventure sequel comes along again.

Sorry man. I just really, REALLY want to see a Metroid, in the style of Super Metroid, but with the graphical fidelity of hand drawn sprites, ala Wario Land, A Boy and His Blob, or Muramasa. I want to see that in HD, and be able to play it on a big screen in all it's glory. It'd be alright if it happened on 3DS. But I'd prefer it to happen on Wii U.

I think Urban Champion could do well on either console. Nintendo had a good idea with the less serious themes/obstacles (ie: flower pots being thrown out windows, police cars picking you up, and falling down the sewer hole). If they could somehow make it akin to Power Stone...

Geist, too, is a game that they could bring to Wii U. I have to admit, as a Nintendo console fan, I've always been disappointed that there hasn't been a Halo-like game from Nintendo (the Conduit filled in pretty well though, for me, during the Wii's lifespan). Keep the same characters (Raimi is your almost prototypical Nintendo character, and Bryson is awesome how he keeps escaping death), lessen the exploration and expand on the action, add online multiplayer, etc.
