It would be like the Big Blue stage, but you're just in one platform here and have to avoid lava and fire coming at you.

^True, and if we were to get another stage in the same vein as Big Blue, I'd personally want it to be the Spirit Train...from LoZ: Spirit Tracks, of course.

Having to avoid falling on the tracks as well as enemy attacks from the background...sounds like fun to me! They could even have a...

Spoiler:
Dark Realm portion, where the stage moves extra fast alongside the Demon Train.

I just want more character representation from other franchises. Why Golden Sun has been ignored is beyond me...

Obviously people would expect certain characters to only/mostly have palette swaps. Link would mostly be tunics, only some of which have extra stuff on them. And then Fierce Deity. Though they COULD do different styles (like TP, OoT, Classic, Skyward Sword, etc)

Pit could easily have different weapons with his colors, though, based on Uprising. Centurians and Dark Pit are good swaps for Pit. Ice Climbers and Game & Watch are obviously tougher and will probably just be colors, though.

Donkey Kong could be DK, Super Kong, Funky? Chunky? Classic DK? There's a lot of potential possibilities that could be used for some people that seemingly have no other costumes. And they don't always have to be from the same series as long as it works/fits. And Fire Emblem could literally just swap around a lot of main characters.

As for Golden Sun, I agree. We need a character, and maybe a stage. There was a song/medley in Brawl for Norfair, and we did have Isaac as an AT, so it wasn't completely ignored, but I *do* want to see more representation.

Practically Pit could be 9 different characters with each weapon. I originally thought of having Pit use a mix of 5 weapons, being his main one the Palutena Bow, and Dark Pit use the rest of the others and have the Silver Bow which is a bit similar but contrary to Palutena's; however, I also thought it would be a bit weird having the two Pits as separate characters and not the dark one being just a palette swap, I find it people will get confused about it.

Speaking of which, I was trying to fuse weapons to get better stats and attributes, it reminded me a lot of the stickers in the Subspace Emmisary. Do you think the stickers will make a return for the adventure mode?

I think so.But this time,i imagine that they will be used to customise your custom characters or something akin to that.

Maybe they could use my old idea for the connectivity, that would be awesome.

So wil there be any more collectibles? Like coins with the faces of the characters, or pogs to play with...

It would be nice if there were also real-life collectibles like the AR Cards. I remember the Ubisoft leaked trailer where they put Rabbids and a Heart in the U pad and it recognized it. Probably they can do something similar?

Knowing NoA, if they did do something like that, they'd never release any of it for us to actually get and we'd have to go to events that nobody can really get to.

I don't think people will like this idea: I kind of want an ascending stage of Kirby. It may be like Dedede's Tower in Dreamland 3 (I don't know about Dreamland 2) or the tower of the fairies of Ripple Star in Kirby 64, before fighting Miracle Matter.

In other news at the other side of town, the poll of vgtribune is almost at the end, and Megaman is almost topping Skull Kid by some thousand votes: http://vgtribune.com/smash-poll-2012-finals/

As much as I like Skull Kid, that poll is a disgrace.

0% for Isaac? Ghirahim beating Shulk and K.Rool?

Skull Kid more than Ridley? Get out of here with your broken polls, vgtribune.

WHAT IN THE? How the HELL is K.Rool THAT low? What are these people insane? K.Rool has deserved a spot in the SSB roster since Melee! He's DK's arch-nemesis! Every other character has their arch-nemesis playable or a boss yet K.Rool remains a trophy or sticker! Jesus, it's like Sakurai, Miyamoto, and Retro all hate the character for NO reason!

I'm not impressed by the results really; Skull Kid is an overrated character that has almost to no appeal but just because of nostalgia by Majora's Mask fans. Heck, all the things he did in the game wasn't by his power, but because of the mask.
Majora's Mask for newcomer if that's the case!

I'm still voting for Megaman; besides Bomberman the Blue Bomber is an interesting competitor.

I Haven't played many Zelda games, but, isn't Skull Kid like Ghirahim? In that he's a one-off character.

Eh, not really. The Skull Kid in Majora's Mask is believed to be the same one that Link plays Saria's Song with in Ocarina of Time. The one in Twilight Princess is assumed to be the same character as well.

Still a pretty minor character in the grand scheme of things though, and definitely not the best choice for a new Zelda rep.

And I approve of that victory pose for Diddy, definitely. I'd even take that as a taunt!

Yes and no.

The Skull Kid with Majora's Mask on is a one-off, yes. But the actual Skull Kid is the one you play Saria's Song for in OoT to get the Heart Piece (and give the Skull Mask to).

And there's a Skull Kid in TP, which may or may not be the same one.

Regardless, while I like him, I don't think he is more deserving than anyone (other than Ghirahim) on that list, and there are certainly more important Zelda characters. Like Tingle or Vaati.

led-naruto wrote:I'm not impressed by the results really; Skull Kid is an overrated character that has almost to no appeal but just because of nostalgia by Majora's Mask fans. Heck, all the things he did in the game wasn't by his power, but because of the mask.

Agreed, technically people should be voting for Majora, but it's also possible the logic is that you play Skull Kid with the mask on and then Final Smash would be dropping the Skull Kid and turning into Majora's Wrath. That's what I would want, anyway.

I don't even think nostalgia is it. I loved the game since launch, but for a long time, people hated it. All of the sudden people started hopping on the MM bandwagon (making people like me look like some kind of gaming hipster for liking something I always legitimately thought was one of the best in the series) out of nowhere.

I think people are voting for Skull Kid either in hopes that it will generate more interest for a 3D remake (read: port) or just to be ironic since he's not very deserving in the first place.

And I *love* Majora's Mask, so for me to say that my favorite game should NOT be represented over other characters should be a sign that the people voting in that poll are crazy.

But in the end, I don't really think that this poll means anything anyway. Sakurai's not going to really be interested in that poll, I would think. And from the sounds of it, the roster may not be getting a whole lot of newcomers and if that is the case, I doubt he'll clutter it with one-off characters or sub-characters.

I heard of a rumor that the 3ds version will be a separate game called Super Smash Bros Memories, will focus on characters from the 8-bit areas mostly and i remember hearing that Ridley,Mach Rider,Pacman,Dig Dug,Donkey Kong Jr,Stanley and the guy from a famicom game whose i dont remember the name will be playable and the connectivity will allow those characters to be playable on Wii U.I remember seeing this article, through it`s just a rumor.

Also, the poll is a waste of time.I`d rather be surprised by Sakurai than seeing any of those characters from the poll in the next game.

I heard the same rumour, and honestly I kind of doubt it. Especially given how many characters would be screwed over by the 3DS and Wii U games concentrating on either the eight bit or modern era respectively, since Nintendo has started a hell of a lot of series classed as too 'old' for modern Smash Bros and too 'new' for a retro Smash Bros. And I kind of doubt Dig Dug would be a playable character.

And yes, the chances of Sakurai seriously caring about this fan poll are nearly non existant. Especially with some of the characters people are voting for.
