Why wouldn't they just include Mass Effect 2 w/ the PS3 "Genesis"? Jeez.. how lazy.

That new rocket weapon does sound kinda awesome.

But are WiiU owners not getting the Leviathan DLC, on-disc or digitally? Is the downloadable squad member going to just be part of the regular game now or is that still going to be DLC?

Mass Effect 3 - Wii U specific details

... You people are angry that Mass Effect 2 isn't included? Why the hell do you think you're entitled to that? PS3 didn't get Mass Effect 1 when ME2 was brought over, they got a graphic novel, just like this one. Get over yourselves. If you want ME1 and 2, go buy them.

I think I will end up getting this one. Not sure if it will be at launch or later. The Wii U has a crazy launch for those who haven't been playing on the PS3/360.

Exactly...I mean I never played 1 or 2, but aint gonna cry cause we get neither. I didn't think we'd get ME3 at all. PS3 owners made due with the comic in ME2, to get the choices that people who played the first one got to make. I tell ya, people have to complain...if you aren't happy with what you get, you don't have to buy it...get something else, and let those of use who are intrested in it be happy with it coming out for the Wii U.

I agree with both of you.

The Wii U is getting the superior in every way, extras added version of a great AAA game that was previously exclusive to the HD twins...and you're crying because they don't throw in another AAA 50 hour game for free?

Really?

This is why Nintendo fans can't have nice things, people.

Yeah, and this proves once again Reggie's point about Insatiable gamers.

Mass Effect 3 - Wii U specific details

Postby archer9234 » 03 Aug 2012 10:32

There is no reason to not include ME2. This would boost sales. The game exists on the PS3 one. Port that. I never got the games because I wanted to get them on Wii U. So I held out. I wouldn't even care if they released each one separately, enhancing them. I just wanted the entire series on one system.

This series is the type where you have to play the other two. Since the main feature is your choices. I don't just want "Previously on" addons. I just bought ME 1-2 on PC and ME3 for PS3 now. I paid a bit more than what the Wii U one will cost for one.

And it's not superior, if it's missing some features. That be like saying the RE4 Wii edition was better. If it was missing the PS2 Ada missions.

They should've add ME2 for $10 extra dollars or something, even with no WiiU features... Just so that WiiU owners can start halfway through and not at the end.

Because that's easy to do and doesn't cost any effort or company resources, and the sales would def warrant said effort

there's plenty of reasons why they aren't giving you Mass Effect 2 for free with this game, they're right there if you think about it

folks must think finished games and ports fall right out of people's asses

IDK why they're even bringing ME3 to Wii U given that this has always been a trilogy, but it makes more sense to retool and re-release a recent blockbuster than it does to take the effort to retool and port in ANOTHER game with it

@KingBroly@NiNTENDOMiNATiON
Pretty sure, either Casey Hudson or someone else has said that the Wii U version will contain ALL previously released DLC.
