Left 4 Dead bug?

Been getting some connection issues while playing Left 4 Dead on PC. In the first chapter, No Mercy, my connection seems to time out at the same spot each time I play. Right before, or right when I get to the safe room at the pawn shop (when you reach the streets for the second time), I always get a connection issue and I get timed out. It's not my firewall, any suggestions?

Are you positive this is an issue with the game? RMC, Lube and myself played on Sunday and Lube had trouble connecting to play. He's played Halo 3 online a few times so his connection worked for something. After he got things worked out with various tech support calls to different companies, he was there to stay. Then I lost my communication but was still in the game. I left the game and tried rejoining, but couldn't. THEN after restarting everything I got back in and about 30 minutes later got dropped again. THEN RMC got kicked.

I would LOVE to know if this is something other than my fault or my connection. There seems to be quite a few connection problems so maybe it IS specific to the game. I'm going to keep looking into it, but if you find other info, bring it back here. THANKS!

Correction. I was playing earlier today and I was on the Death Toll campaign. Right after the area where you have to lower the forklift (the part with the minigun), my connection always gets jacked. There's a safe room right after that spot and before I get to it, I get I always lose connection. I don't know what the hell is up with that. I have to try and get to Idle mode just so my connection stays steady.

Thanks for the info. I hope things get worked out completely soon. It's just an insane nuisance.
