Post your current rank (normal, gold, platinum), coin amount, current purchases, what you want to see, etc.

I finally got to doing ym surveys today and I'm now a Platinum member with 710 coins. Nothing really interests me on it right now (not even the Game and Watch collection) so I'll probably let it build up for the time building I see something I want.

I think it would be cool if they offered free games or VC/Wii Ware codes.

800, platinum... I stopped registering when I had enough for the G&W collection.

Btw I'm getting paranoid. I ordered G&W and my balance is 0 now, but when I click the Reward Order Inquiry tab it says "you currently do not have any reward orders." Did this happen to anyone else? I'm guessing it's because the site is still buggy, but just checking.

What? You can't get Wii points? We can. But they're pricey and never in stock. It's 400 stars for 100 points (not sure how that translates into coins because games here net you 200/ 250 stars). Still they're all I'm really interested in on the service.

I tried migrating my old account to Club Nintendo yesterday and had to do it about 3 times before it finally worked. After that the site bombed me on several times as I tried to "Get Coins", so I gave up. So far the site seems really laggy and bugged as hell. In the past I registered tons of games, then stopped when I realized that there weren't really any benefits to registering - will all my old games still be registered after migrating my account, or do I have re-register everything?

Anything you already have registered that is eligible for a coin survey, you can still take.

I thought simply registering games earned coins, right? I was hoping that I would have a big ol' pile of coins, considering all the games I had registered in the past.

No, after registering it you have to take a survey on it.

Gold n' 440 here, kinda cheesed off at the lack of coins for earlier VC games, but hell, I'm just glad we have a Club Nintendo in NA now!

i am not terribly impressed with club nintendo's site at all... so far, except maybe some of the visual design elements.

i'll be honest: i understand issues with sites going live, but there is just no excuse for this to have launched so godawfully poor. site is buggy, lags... and that's just for starters.

i have YET to get anything to work after dozens of tries. it supposedly transferred my old account to the new system after countless headaches. i actually got to log in ONCE, but it hadn't transferred any settings, game registrations, etc. it did offer me one survey, which i tried to take. after spending the time to legitimately answer the questions and fill in the form fields, it failed to submit, logged me out, and i couldn't get back in.

today i thought to visit at 1am PST in what should be a lull for north american traffic. my account had reverted back to un-transferred status. so i went through that process AGAIN--i'm quite the expert at this point--and once logged in saw some of my game registrations made it. but no coins. and all surveys equal ZERO coins? wtf? as if i'm going to spend my time building their marketing database for free.

glad it's worked for some, but it's utter crap, i am seriously not going to participate in this nonsense. club nintendo could and should be so much better.

I agree, cort. My experience has been basically the same. So not only do I have to buy and register games, but then I have to take surveys to earn coins? Whatever. I don't think it's worth the hassle, really. That's on top of the site being the buggiest piece of crap I've seen in, well, forever.

The official club in Japan is sooooooo much better than this one. I quit registering games a while back when the best thing I had ever received as a result was a pink Kirby stylus. Seems like there's still not much incentive to build Nintendo's marketing database for them, as cort said.

Just saw this thread: I'm a PAL user, but since I bought Brawl NTSC, I have its code (At least I suppose it's its code) and cannot use it. If someone wants to register it he has just to send me a PM: I'll give you it as soon as possible

EDIT: Dammit, I cannot find it anymore :|

I finally got my Club Nintendo working today after trying since it opened. I've got 780 coins and I have several games at home that I haven't registered yet.

WiiFit's worth 80 coins I see, right?

The new site seems to be a lot less buggy. They still need to get more prizes on it though.

I only have 100 coins, but I don't know how to add DS games and it's getting on my nerves! I have Final Fantasy III and IV and I don't even know if you can add those. Is there a list somewhere of what you can add? Only 100 points is kind of sad.

You can only put 1st party stuff on Club Nintendo. Basically, anything that has a registration code insert that was on the DS or Wii.

I believe the UK Club nintendo is the same way. JPN CN is the only one that does it for all game.

If Nintendo really wanted to get gamers buying third party games again then they should do what Club Nintendo Japan is doing. I know I'd start buying way more third parties games from Nintendo if this was the case.

I've got a couple questions about Club Nintendo.

First, the email account ("username") for the Club Nintendo account is more than 25 characters and thus the Wii doesn't like it. I've sent an email to Nintendo about it but they are being nice and sluggish so I was wondering if anyone knew of any work around.

Second, do purchases made on the Wii before signing in with a Club Nintendo account get added to an account when it's assigned to the Wii or are all coins lost? I'm doubtful that I'll ever use the coins but who knows so I might as well get them.

Thanks.

I can answer the second question. Purchases made on the wii before you sign into club nintendo do not get you any coins. Purchases made on the Wii only get you 10 coins anyways and the cheapest prize is 300 coins.

Is anyone else having problem with the post-play survey for VC games?

Also, did anyone get points for registering Onslaught? I mean, it's on my list of registered games, but it says I didn't get anything for buying it. <_< Unless if it's just there for the post-play survey, which isn't even up yet. (Whee 10 coins oh boy -_-)
