I'm not exactly new here, but I haven't been to the boards in well over a year and a half, I figured I would introduce myself again.
My name is Lumphead. It's based off of an inside joke and the fact that my last name is Lumpkin. I joined the site on day 1. I've been listening to the podcast (back when it was NintendoNow) since episode 14. Back when the Wii was just the Revolution. good times. haven't missed an episode since.
Nintendo is definitely my main source of video games (though spore has been getting my attention as of late). I have a ds and a wii. Unlike most people my age, i got into gaming relatively late. My first system was a gamecube. Also unlike many people, I really enjoyed the gamecube. However, i obviously missed a ton of great games and i'm trying to catch up. Thank god for the virtual console! Now i've played ocarina, link to the past, super mario world, and plenty of other gems. I really appreciate all the things nintendo have made over their history and find them quite superior.
I'm really into music. I play guitar (a sweet DeArmond Jetstar), Tenor Sax, and a little piano. seriously. that thing is like, 3 inches tall. With the sax, I'm in band and jazz band. I made 2nd chair area Jazz. The concert was 2 days ago. I had a baller improv solo that took a couple licks from "Play That Funky Music, White Boy." believe it!
I'm big into my church. I go to a ton of church camps and I'm applying for a camp director's internship this summer. I just really like that scene, it's very dear to my heart. Jesus really helped me through some tough times.
Also, I have a great girlfriend. I've never had a serious relationship before, but Megan is amazing. We've been going out for a little over 6 months. Although she is not much of modern a gamer, she does regularly play her supernintendo and a genesis. Her real passion is Literature. Not only does she read faster than anyone i've ever met, but she writes her own stuff as well (which, in my biased opinion, is amazing).
I used to be pretty active on the boards, but i had a bit of a falling out after a move and a lot of busy stuff in my life, but now that i have some free time I plan to spend it here. However, unlike the last time i was here, I plan to be more personable. Instead of just stating some opinions, I'd like to make some nice gamer friends, so if anyone wants to drop a line, just shoot a p.m. my way.
