It looks pretty cool, the small size difference between this and the ipod touch really has me interested, I could use a new all in one device! All the have to do is get it out there at a decent price and I'm sold.

Of course homebrew would be a particularly delicious bonus...

I really like it, but before I decide to get it, I want to know if we can transfer our current UMDs over to this, price, etc.

Cause why am I going to pay $250 for a system than rebuy the games I already have in a physical copy?

I hate to say it but this video suck. I not talking about the guy posting the video but I talking about woman talking to a guy. This look cool. I not sure if I going to buy it (I have an DS and I don't want any of PSP games yet) and the system is kept getting better.

I wonder if people have big hand have an problem with it because the control is closer to the middle than the previous model.

Sorry, for flaming.
I love Majora's Mask. I love Wind Waker. I LOVE MY AVATAR! THANK!

Got a new Wii. All my friend codes are different now.

On second thought, I might just get a regular PSP after this comes out, all the games will be cheap in addition to the system, it's a win-win

I initially really hated the design, but it's grown on me a bit as I look at it more. I like the compact size of it. The lack of a UMD drive probably means it gets awesome battery life, which would be a huge plus. The only problem is there are probably two or three games on the system that I'm at all interested in. If the price is really reasonable, (like $180 or something), then I might consider it.

Let's see: I just bought a PSP-3000 with a larger screen than the Go's, and it will play all my UMDs without having to mess around with any sort of digital conversion. Yeah, not buying one. I'd like to, as I'm a sucker for gadgets, but I can't justify it, at least not anytime soon. I'm still curious as to how they're going to handle all the PSP owners with tons of games on UMD.

Also, they still didn't do anything about the screen being exposed - if they were going to redesign the thing anyway, I would have made it clamshell. No one wants to get their screen all scratched up. That placement of that analog stick looks funky as well.

Yeah, I'm definitely not buying one for $250. It is a slick little device though.

I kept waiting for Kaz Hirai to explain exactly how you can play your existing UMD games on the PSP Go, but I suppose Sony wants you to hang onto your old PSP and play 'em on that.

Right now, im VERY cautious. If they announce a way to transfer UMD data to the PSP, I will bite in a heart beat. Otherwise...idk yet...

No way am I paying 250 bones for one of these, they'll probably hike it up to 300 up here too...

I've got a broken 1000 knocking around here somewhere, maybe I'll fix that one up!

This. I've always wanted to play Dissidia and Crisis Core, as well as have a portable Smackdown VS RAW (without touch screen) so when this baby comes out and the regular PSPs go down in price, that's when I'll go in for the kill.

Updated the OP with some more information on the subject. Sony's looking into UMD > Download transfers for those who want to upgrade, but I doubt anything will come up about it. Especially since not every old UMD game is on PSN (like God of War and ugh...Crisis Core)

Well I'm sure between now and than, they will release a lot of the big name PSP games on the PSN service. If it has a majority of my favorite PSP games on it, like Crisis Core, God of War, and Lego batman, I will definitely buy it. They still have 17 weeks of PSN releases to update the UMD classics library.

The best way for Sony to handle a trade-in program for UMD to DD games is basically you send in your UMD's to them, they send you a code back (snail mail, mind you), and they destroy those UMD's. I can't really see them doing it any other way.

I'm sure that'll be how it works, but quite frankly, if the program is actually good, it'll be the final bump to convince me to buy one. Personally, I think the current PSP is WAY too big. I really want something that I can slip in my pocket and not have it take up the whole thing. That's why I like the DSi, iPod Touch, and Gameboy Micro.

I wish they'd offer to transfer UMD's to DD's for anyone that wanted it, not just PSP go upgraders.

They might, I think they realized how bad an idea a disc format was for a portable system, I'll have to be quick about my snatching of trade-ins though, if this is the case. I'd really like to be able to get an old PSP and lots of old games for cheap in this whole scenario.

I think they'll either:
a) Ask for a PSP Go serial number so only PSP Go owner's can take advantage of it.
or
b) Not ask for anything but a legit UMD which means any PSP owner can get a digital copy.
