My name is pronounced "Tee Roy" (not trying to be rude or anything).

What, in your opinion, is the worst game and/or games ever made, and what is the hardest game you have ever played.

Hi guys great show very fun to listen to.

Onto the questions:

When do you guys think the REV will come out? (mother brain and nicky hill could fight about this?)

Rawmeat do you plan on getting (or already have) an HD TV so that your Xbox 360 games will look pretty-er? I would ask the rest of you guys this too but since (when i right this) rawmeat is the only one that has a 360 I won't bother, but if you really want to you can answere the question.

Here is another one for rawmeat: where do you go to get the information for the site? Do you just go to other websites or is there a sort of game website guild that you guys all secretly communicate through swapping stories? o.O

What are your gaming pet peeves (ex I hate games where you have to talk to people in towns to get certain things to happen).

Oh and I think one of the best parts of the show is when you guys are trying to turn the podcast off and you can't figure out how because i like to imagine what you guys look like when this happens. So, I think every week you should hide the button, or what ever it is you use to turn off the show, from some one and have them try to find it.

Alrighty then:

Do you think that the industry is due for another crash (like in the 80s) and if so, do you think Nintendo will be the one to pull it out again?

Do you think that virtual reality will be Nintendo's next big project? (Like, the next-next-gen.)

Without bringing up a huge argument or name-calling, have any of you had any direct communication or contact with Jack Thompson?

Why is it so hard for Rawmeat to edit a curse word?

And finally, describe the perfect game/system.

Just thought I'd throw this out there to get a feel for the Go Nintendo staff's thoughts: With the upcoming Revolution and it's DS-like feature set via the remote controller, how likely do you think it would be to see a NDS Player, much like the GB Player of this generation?

Personally, I think it would be great ... maybe even the secret that Miyamoto was referring to?

Thanks, and good job with the podcast ... it keeps me plenty entertained during work!

how do you think the gaming industry would be now if the dreamcast had not gone under and sega wasnt a 3rd party developer now? (this is assuming it came out w/ a next gen system and would be working on another now)?

who is your favorite Nintendo Character?

and finally....
if you were were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 games, what would they be? (assuming you have the consoles and some sourse of power and all that technicality crap)

Heres a question:
Do you want them to make the Gameboy Advance 2?

What Graphics should it have, and what should it look like?

Do you have any name for it thought up? (I personally like Gameboy Evolution)

Earthbound

Postby Angusman3 » 09 Dec 2005 01:54

Hey, great podcast and I love the site.

I am a huge Earthbound fan since it came out for the SNES, and I know that Mother 3 is due to be released in Japan sometime in the near future; hopefully it comes to america.

Anyway, my question is: what do you guys think about Nintendo fully resorecting Earthbound as a full blown RPG franchise? Nintendo doesn't really have its own traditional RPG, they have stradegy in Fire Emblem, but I think Earthbound would be a great way to bring something ffresh to gamers and I would love to see it on the Revolution. What do you guys think?

And if you guys and girls haven't played it then what are you waiting for!!?

Thanks for your time, and I can't wait for the response.

What are you looking forward to 2006 from nintendo?

Carrying on from webepisode 17, deux micheals is correct, whenever you go to a gaming store, they tend to give ms and sony more floor space.

Too many times I go to stores here in the uk and there only a few people browsing through the nintendo section, this has to change.

A lot of retailers too don't really give nintendo credit anymore, It always "hey the nintendo machine is for kids", which is not true anymore with more mature games being made.

Retailers always sell to people the non gaming functions that the other consoles can do and put nintendo down.

I did a little test today and went into a few stores to test my theory.

Promotion for buying a xbox or sony ps2, nintendo always buy for the little kiddies Sad

How do you think, Nintendo can change all of this?
The best idea wins

Hey!

Your podcast is awesome, but I wanted to wait a while until I actually had a non-half-assed question to ask ;-) So anyway, it was pretty cool that you brought up some old-school Adventure Island stuff in the last podcast... it made me laugh pretty hard! So I was wondering: who is/was your favorite old-school 3rd-party developer that doesn't seem to be as popular anymore (or doesn't exist anymore at all)? I guess those would be companies like Hudson, (American) Sammy, Culture Brain, stuff like that... anyway, the podcast is great, so keep rockin' it!

This question is for Rawmeat mostly. I've heard you say that you don't like too much music except for Radiohead and video game music. I used to be the same way. Music was "meh" to me. But then, I heard of an amazing band named Dream Theater. I was hooked on their album "Scenes from a Memory". Right off the bat, i made comparisons between countless video games and Dream Theater.

Anyway, You should listen to Scenes from a memory by Dream Theater. They just might make you listen to music more often. especially the songs DANCE OF ETERNITY, OVERTURE 1928, and STRANGE DEJA VU. (or maybe i just wasted your time)

The other podcasters should listen to them too. (this wasn't really a question, was it?)

*edit* I have a version of Overture 1928 that is totally 8 bit. It might as well be played during a level in contra. If you want this 8 bit version to play on the podcast or just for the heck of it, then let me know somehow. *end edit*

*Edit 2* Dream Theater is having a concert at the Radio City Music Hall on April first. I AM GOING!! ROCK ON!!!.....? Anyway, while in NY, I'd kinda like to go to the Nintendo World Store too. How far is the Radio City from the Nintendo store? How long would you guess it would take to drive from one to the other? *end edit 2*

Ok I was watching my local news tonight and they have sort of a review type segment on the four home consoles available for the holiday season(Xbox, Gamecube, Playstation 2, & Xbox 360)

Let's just say I was disappointed. One lady said that the Gamecube was just geared towards kids and had no "R" rated games. First of all we all know ESRB doesn't have an "R" rating and secondly there's plenty of violent games for the cube, Resident Evil 4 being the first one that comes to mind.

And to top it off when ending the segment they said people should look forward to the "Gamecube Revolution".

So after all that I'd like to ask you this, What do you think the mainstream media's overall opinion towards video games is?

Revo 2nd Feature?

Postby ConManDude » 14 Dec 2005 22:42

A while back comcast.net posted an interview with a Hollywood producer. When the question was brought up about the possibillity of holographic movies he responded "holographic movies are for sure going to be in the near future, but movies will not be the first to utalize this technology. I know of a videogame company that will use this technology very soon"

Could this man be refferring to the Revolution? I think it would work perfectly with the controller. What are your opinions on this topic?

Do you guys ever play any non-Nintendo systems? If so, which of their games do you like?

By the way, how do you think Tales of Tempest is going to make use of the DS's special features? I can't wait to see; I just hope it isn't too different.

Sequels: what are your opinions on sequels? How often should they come out? How much should they be changed from the original?

What would you say is the best controller of all time? Of this generation? Next generation? What is the worst?

Where did all the Miyamoto NYC pictures go?

What was the most underrated game of 2005? Overrated?

I first want to note if I asked too many quesions in one post, please feel free and answer only the ones you believe are the best questions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What would you think of a Nintendo-themed Kingdom Hearts game?

Are you going to pre-order the Revolution?

How sucessful do you believe the Revolution will be compared to the other systems?

If you were in Iwata-San's shoes how would you run Nintendo?

What do you rate the GameCube, this gen, from 1-10?

How long, do you think, the next gen war will last?

Have any guesses what genre Nintendo's new IP will be in?

Do you think Retro Studios will revive Raven Blade after they complete Metroid Prime 3?

Do you guys think RareWare will ever be as great as they use to be?

What do you expect to see in the Revolution's Nintendo Wi-Fi Connect service?

Do you ever expect future Nintendo systems to have more multimedia features?

As your site expands are you going to keep the "GoNintendo" name?

Do you hope to compete with sites like IGN and GameSpot in the future?

It seems that Nintendo fans might soon rejoice. After visting my nearest GameStop, I found they had made a HUGE change to their store. Now the GBA and DS section is located right infront of the entrance were EVERYONE will have to go through to get anywhere in the store. Now it seems stores are stating to give a bit more respect for the "Big N".

I also wanted to note that only 3% of XBOX 360 had any defects since launch.undefined

Postby Guest » 24 Dec 2005 05:19

A couple of questions: With innovations the DS have provided, what would you like to see in future handhelds from nintendo? Also, have any of you heard of a web browser coming out for the WiFi enabled DS? Finally, if this is too personal that's alright, where is the strangest place ya'll ever have played a handheld...with regards to Gameboys, DS, and (gasp) PSP?

Do you think theres a risk that nintendo will go all out on the FPS genre on the Revolution, and forget about many of its franchises? I know this seems unlikely, but from what i've heard, every high level employee has talked about how FPS would be perfect...

i mean, i wouldnt mind a few FPSs on the Revolution, but knowing the house of Mario, i dont know what to expect- when they like something, theyll go crazy, im waiting for the announcement of nitendogs 2 on DS, and GC, and 10 versions for Revulution, released simultaneosly with nintencats, and nintenbirds, and for and extra $100 you can have them all in nintenzoo boxpack, with nintendogs t-shirt... and dont forgbet the release of nintendogs cards...lol - you know thats what nintendo is like, lol and good on them, id buy it... *shame*

Renaming Revolution

Postby Luero » 25 Dec 2005 02:30

Hey gang, you are all good!

but Motherbrain, you are the best! plz let mother brain answer this question first

question: do you think Nintendo should stick with the codename "Revolution"? Many people on the internet like this name, but I believe that this name will be a major turn off to casual/non-gamers/people who have no clue about what it is. Revolution??? That sounds very "geeky" or overly technical. Do any of you have other possible names?

<< mod comment: this thread has been split to clear out older questions that have already been answered on the podcast. assuming everyone's already listened to all the episodes, it shouldn't be a problem to know what's been asked thus far, but in case you haven't heard it all, you might want to take a quick run through this thread to get up to speed. who knows, maybe one of the answered questions will spark a new one for ya!? --cortjezter >>
