Dashboard Update

Postby InvalidRobot » 11 Aug 2009 11:06

Though it's not the one I was hoping for (last.fm & facebook) I must say I am already enjoying some of the new features.

The netflix update is great, but I still wish they would allow you to enter in what you are searching for. Being able to play a game just by going through your achievements is awesome, and the memory size of the Xbox 360 games isn't that bad (running between 4-6 GB).

Out of all of the games I'm most likely going to purchase Mass Effect, because that game alone is beyond huge so I know it's one I'll want to have for a long time (unless someone who has played it would say other wise???).

The prices for the Avatar marketplace are a complete joke, but I'm so in love with Bioshock I couldn't pass up on a shirt. I really wanted the big daddy doll, but I didn't have enough points, so maybe next time. I'm hoping for great things from future games when they add avatar achievements, because unlocking a full big daddy suit from Bioshock 2 would be oh so awesome.

What does everyone else think of the update? Have you bought anything from the avatar marketplace yet? Blah, blah, and more blah!.!

you should get a used Mass Effect, they're much less than $30, I think mine was like $17. I haven't checked it out yet, i need to renew my Gold, I used up a month trial and I don't play lot of online so i never renewed it.

It's only $20 on the Xbox. :-)

I've seen it at Wal-Mart for the same price, and used would only chop off a few bucks. I've always loved having everything together (Ipod, flashcards for the ds), so I'm all for downloading the game.

Mass Effect is GREAT! It will be nice to have it on the HDD because it will load faster too. i also suggest that you buy the add on. its a fun little side mission that you can do in the middle of your campaign.

I like the dashboard update. I like the new additions to netfilx and the avatar marketplace. i had to buy some of the sunglasses because i defiantly wear mine most of the time in real life.

The avatar marketplace is a pretty cool idea, if you've got nothing else to spend your MSP on :P I bought the guitar prop myself and that's about it. Here in Ireland, every game in Games On Demand are €30! Mass Effect is $20 which amounts to about €15 in real money so why so overpriced in Ireland? Feck that!

Wow that is a bummer that the games on demand are so high priced. Burnout paradise was $20 bucks on demand which is the same in the store, so i decided to buy it. I have loved the game so far!

I bought this for my wife before they released the update, but she too loves that game. It's fun to watch, but I'm not really into any kind of car games (minus Mario Kart).
