I'm not interested in the first Uncharted. I only played the demo and, while it was fun, I'm not interested in buying the game now.

However, the videos of Uncharted 2 excite me to death.

You should play the first game just so you can understand the premise behind the story. I thought it was a great game. I can't wait for Uncharted 2 though. It just looks like it's going to be one of the contenders for game of the year for me.

it is, without a shadow of a doubt, going to be the single best game released this year.

I say contender because there are other games I'm looking forward to playing. I can't guarantee right now at the moment that it'll be game of the year for me when I've yet to play other games released this holiday season.

Cool. I'll be getting my PS3 towards the end of October. I can afford one now but I'm waiting for half term holidays (might as well wait for a week off to play eh?). Plus I have the original to get first so at least that means I won't have to wait for this one.

I've just played the PSN multiplayer beta.
Fantastic.

One of my major problems with Uncharted 1 were the controls. Aiming was wonky and movement was clunky and awkward. The controls in UC2 are so much tighter.

The game is certainly very pretty. The environments are varied and well designed. The game modes are interesting and overall pretty fun. Very impressive.

I can only wonder how the Single Player must be like.

This game is seriously a drug. It is so amazing. From the cinemas, to the action sequences, to solving puzzles, looking for treasure...it just works PERFECTLY together. I have not experienced such joy in any game this generation (Galaxy came close) until I played this one. There's something special about it that I don't get in any other game. I haven't completed it yet, but man..so far the ride has been incredible. This is definitely without a doubt, my game of the year.

The demo only contains multiplayer. The demo I had downloaded previously doesn't work anymore since the game is out. I don't know if that's still the case.

'Sides, Uncharted is all about the single player experience. Honestly, there is nothing else like this game.

my god i hate this trend. i don't give two turds about multiplayer in games--online or local--so when developers force a demo to be multiplayer, it means they lose my interest, and ultimately my business. on XBL, since i'm not a gold member, it means i can't even try if i wanted.

can't say for sure, but i probably wouldn't have enjoyed the UC2 demo anyway; i didn't last 6 minutes in the first game's demo, and most of that was the opening cinematic.

It's like you read my mind - I also couldn't give less of a damn, in most cases, about multiplayer. Why release MP-only demos for games like Uncharted and Lost Planet? It makes no sense.

I thought I would enjoy the first Uncharted game, until I got to the shooting section in the demo, died several times and gave up. I wish the entire game focused on the adventure/platforming aspects.

The demo of Uncharted didn't really show off the game's charm. That demo also starts you off about 2 hours into the game. But seriously, if you have a PS3, you have to play Uncharted, as well as Uncharted 2.

The multiplayer is actually good when you party up with others because the majority of PS3 players have no headset and that means easy pickins. The co-op missions are fun as well, but there are only 2 of them and a separate Campaign Arena (AKA mini-Horde mode).

Oh, and the single player part is awesome, too. However...Batman might be better in that regard.

I felt the the gun play and cover system were the weakest parts of UC1.
Thankfully, it's much improved in this one.

Now to scrounge up the funds.

I finished it on Saturday very late at night and wow.

Wow.

Freakin' amazing ride. There is nothing else like it. The final chapters BLEW me away. Honestly, this is the best console looking game up to date. I enjoyed the ending because it wasn't your typical ending you'd see. However, the final boss was disappointing to me because it was extremely easy. Other then that, I have no complaints. Everything else was amazing. I managed to collect only 58 treasures in my first play through. I plan on playing it in Hard to unlock Crushing. Overall, my game of the year without a doubt.

Also, co-op is surprisingly difficult! I love that because it provides challenge and I'm a man of challenge. It's fun along with co-op survival. I wish there could have been more maps available and I've read that Naughty Dog isn't interested in making more maps available through DLC, since it took a long time to make. Hopefully if they ever decide to make a new Uncharted game, they better add more of them.

I'm getting this for Christmas! Along with MW2, R&C:ToD (AciT will come later...), FIFA10 and an actual PS3 250GB Slim! Yeah I already have a PSN account just haven't registered the console yet!

Plus I'm probably going to download: Wipeout HD (+Fury), Flower and R&C:Q4B.

Am I missing something?
