Looking around the blog, I've seen comments with this phrase. I'm going to guess it deals with the censor, but why?

Why are using words that are a part of the censor labeled like that? Why is the site using a ridiculous phrase to replace curse words? What ever happened to using the asterisks systems when a word is not allowed? I'd rather have **** than some odd phrase.

I mean, fuck.

Edit: Ok, why is shovel censored with shovel when fuck isn't? And why can't shovel just be ****?

basically, the censors were updated because people were skirting the popular curses anyway, and it isn't a very good use of our time to be nitpicking the feeble minds of other people's vocabulary.

on the other hand, a couple hate speech slurs (n-word, ant-gay f-words) have been updated to that phrase. we have a zero tolerance policy for hate speech, so if you see it, just report the post, and watch that person go bye-bye.

also, watch your language just because the censors are inactive doesn't mean excessive/gratuitous obscenity is now permissable or condoned!

So basically, you uncensored the f-word because people were skirting it.
..Why not revert the s-word too?

Also, the context of where I saw "mods ban me please" didn't seem like a place where a hate speech word was used. (Someone said something about bugs in Super Mario Sunshine - "!!! bugs")

'shovel' is a long time joke, that's why. it predates even gonintendo (nintendonow.blogspot, anyone?)

please link or report any posts that the phrase appears (by PM if sending links). the censor rules are pretty narrow, so unless someone misspells something, there should almost never be false positives.
