Nintendo of Europe getting retail packs of Kid Icarus AR Cards.

There’s an album on the way. Anyone serious about their AR Idol Card collection will be happy to know we’re teaming up with Panini soon. This means you’ll be able to purchase additional card packs around the country** - and better yet, there’ll be an official album to keep all your cards in pristine condition.

I'm not sure about something so I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. Does anyone know if you get a certain amount of feathers for each picture or if you can use the feathers from one picture to unlock panels in another picture? I don't want to waste any feathers on easier tasks.

Thanks ;)

you cannot use feathers from one picture onto another. I believe it's 4 feathers for each pic but I'm not 100% on that.

5 Feathers in total for each Treasure Hunt, but yes you can only use those 5 for that picture only.

Seriously, if you're keen on acquiring every weapon, idol, and clearing out the Treasure Hunt, among other things...you'll be playing this game for a good, long time.

Think Smash Bros. if you want a good idea of the scope of unlockables/extras in this game.

Getting all the weapons is ez. You can do it in less than a day.
Getting all the Idols is a bit challenging. However getting all the unlockable is ez.
The biggest challenge is the ggame imo, is to complete all the chapter in 9.0.
Is it worth it? OMG it is so worth it imo. The reward is sweet.

Kid Icarus Uprising One Year Anniversary!

Postby MegaMan64 » 23 Mar 2013 19:06

Image
Hey guys. Believe it or not today is the 1 year anniversary of Kid Icarus Uprising. 1 year ago today, we had our first new adventure with pit in over 25 years. To celebrate....go get Luigis Mansion: Dark Moon. Or, just take some time to remember the fun moments you had in the game. And if you don't want to do any of that...idk, just do whatever. But just make sure to celebrate, it felt like it was just yesterday when I was playing it for the first time.

That's funny/weird because I just beat Kid Icarus on NES today for the first time. Bring on a sequel!

This is my favorite game on any handheld system and I appreciate what Sakurai did with it, but I'm disappointed by his disinterest in a sequel. What sense is there in putting this series away, after just reaching such heights? And the Wii U is so well-suited for it, too.

I still really love the game for what it is.

Yea I really liked it, multiplayer too. I still haven't finished the last chapter too! I liked the anime on Nintendo Video as well.

I'm hoping they port it up in HD to the Wii U, increase player count to 8 and make a sequel on Wii U. While I understand that the game is designed around stylus aiming I would LOVE analog sticks for it just for good camera control on the ground portions.

I want to see a sequel and just because Sakurai says he isn't interested doesn't mean Nintendo WON'T do it but yea the chances aren't that good sadly. But what better way to honor Kid Icarus Uprising's birthday than releasing Luigi's Mansion?

Ahh, I went back and played it today to celebrate. Love, love, love it! :D was hyped in the years leading up to it after seeing it at E3 2010, and it didn't disappoint. (fun fact: my way of removing the cramps was not to play with the stand, but to play with the 3DS in the charging cradle. :P Played some 5 hours or so without a single cramp.)

On the topic of sequels though, I feel like Uprising was built to last for a decade or more. Just the ridiculous amount of content, epic plot, and so forth makes it feel like they knew this was going to be the last game in the franchise for a VERY long time. Honestly, I don't know how they quite plan to top this if they do decide to make a sequel any time soon. However, I'm afraid to say I can't see that happening with the sales this made. Not bad by any means, but not screaming at Nintendo to make another any time soon either.

I'll try to 100% the game in commemoration. Sakurai made a great job on the content part - having the Achievments (and Power Panel) as Puzzles really makes you want to complete them. A piece of art is way better than just some trophy list.

Well, if the game is now 1 year old, that means we only have to wait 24 more years! Yes!
Seriously though, I really think the suprise factor WAS the most important thing in Uprising, so Sakurai is right when he says that it would be hard to replicate that in a sequel.
Even so, I just want more. More of the characters, their interaction, crazy scenarios with amazing flying sections and great land battles, more of the great OST and everything else.
But Sora has disbanded, no? I guess a sequel is hard, huh. Too bad, this is one of the best games ever in my opinion, and the absolute best on 3DS.

Also, seeing this thread really makes me think about the controls. They work just fine, but it seems that people don't understand that Uprising shouldn't be played as your everyday TPS. Is way faster, and even the default control scheme works just fine.

Good luck with that, it's no easy feat.

Project Sora as in the name of the game in project terms ended, but Sora Ltd is still around. Though, Sakurai makes a new team every new game he works on, but I guess this time he has to keep his team for developing Smash Bros.

I didn't realize it was a year since the game came out but that was the day I started playing it. :) I've had the game since pre-order days but never got around to playing it. My 10 year old son has beat it five times already and begs me to let him play it again. He absolutely loves the game. I find it enjoyable too. I love, love, love the flying and the rail grinds but not a fan of the land gameplay. Not that I hate it because I don't but just isn't my cup of tea. All in all I love the game and look forward to beating it!
