Dude. Don't sweat it. As I've mentioned several times myself, I personally asked her to respond and provide us all with what, precisely, her background and credentials are, IE "why and how is it that she knows what she claims to know", and what is her "inside source" in the business, as she claims to have. She has not even acknowledged my posts, much less responded to them. Which, quite frankly, leaves me with the impression that she doesn't have any legitimate qualifications or credentials to be claiming to know what she knows, whatsoever.

Meaning, as I suspected, she is most likely just another flash in the pan internet personality that claims to know all this "insider info" on the business, but actually just makes vague "predictions" that could of course always wind up being partially right, or just being flat out wrong and full of it all the other times.

That is, of course, unless Emily wants to finally register what I've written and prove otherwise?

To be fair, KingBroly explained that himself pretty well. In journalism you aren't supposed to reveal your sources. Now don't get me wrong, I don't take her stuff as truth, but "how do you know what you know" answer is that she has sources...and a "who are your sources" answer is that she can't reveal them. With any situation like this it's going to be that way. If a mod already addressed that question in this thread and I was her I wouldn't bother responding either.

Why does this keep getting bumped?

Let it die, she has been proven wrong by Retro. She has no credibility, we're just giving her attention.

I disagree. Retro said "all is fine" but yet http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=179317 is still true.

And yeah, I'll let this die now. I just wanted to comment on your ignorance.

To be fair, I care far less about what her alleged "sources" are, because I don't believe she has any. I care more about her trying to present some kind of story as to how and why she's a real "journalist", and not just another internet geek who runs a blog where she shares "top secret info".

I think the bottom line is, she's full of it. And yes, this thread should probably be locked.

I know that; I didn't ask for sources. I'm pretty sure people have already responded to what Devil_Rising has been saying. R.O.D! haha

No! She hasn't responded to me yet! I just looked back in the thread too.. and she had a whole day after I left my first message for her to respond to it. A day after I left my first message she apparently decided to respond to everyone else she hadn't responded to yet. Well, she also didn't respond to the person who quoted me and agreed with me. In other words, I was on the page TWICE, and she had to have seen them before she typed because they were both on there hours before she started getting in a back in forth with some people... Frustrating.

I think this should be open until she responds to me, unless anybody else can see a flaw in my argument I made in my first post on this thread.

If anyone is ignorant, it is you.

Please bring up evidence that isn't laughable. Really, I'm DYING over here as multiple people have pointed out that expanding teams is pretty normal.

You really shouldn't have bothered replying, you made a fool out of yourself.

Now let it die and don't even try to come back to support your claims. They're illogical and based on speculation that doesn't even make sense. When you argue, you need evidence that actually supports your argument. Not something that makes users look twice at you.

You can't oblige Emily Rogers or anyone to answer you because you feel like it, you have no right in a public medium. If you want her to answer you go directly to her and ask her via PM, but otherwise you can't say what can be open and what can't be closed in this site.

Whether or not the rumor about Retro having "issues" is true or not is not really a concern of mine. I don't really care about Emily Rogers, and I do think that her sources are probably feeding her crap. One thing is certain though, that list she provided of employees who left after Prime and then after DKCR is accurate. Retro has done a ton of hiring after DKCR(which I actually have been following), and sure part of that may be due to expanding, you're right. The only thing about that though is that you can't ignore that a lot of that is going to be due to the people that left. A lot of important people have left the company, and I wouldn't be surprised if there really is a decent amount of people planning to leave after this game gets done (based off of their track record). That's the way the industry works, though, I suppose. It definitely is not as bad as Emily Rogers is trying to paint it.

Though I will say that a company saying "We're fine" is not proof that they are, and you're a fool if you believe it to be so cut and dry. No, I did not make a fool out of myself by pointing out how ignorant you are. You are painting yourself a very pretty picture because Retro can only speak the truth and a company hiring people can only mean they are expanding. Try to open your eyes and look at the bigger picture. Regardless of what the situation actually might be, of course a company is going to say that they're doing just fine, they'd be stupid to say anything but, and I'm absolutely certain that they will be fine even if the off chance that they are having problems is true.

Or it could be that you're right, and everything is going just smoothly at Retro (a stance to which I never claimed was incorrect). To say that everything is fine because Retro said so and that hiring people can only mean they're expanding is ignorant. Don't bait me in and say "don't reply". If you truly want the topic to die then take your own advice and stop posting in it.
