I'm a mac/linux user. My desktop is OLD, which is why I bought my Powerbook. I had never really used Mac Os X before I bought my powerbook but I am in LOVE! I look back at the days when I used to think Windows was the only thing around and laugh :P Glad I got rid of that trash. Although I still have my copy of XP (that I bought before I knew linux existed) for when I absolutely HAVE to use it.

there's one really, really (i mean incredibly) simple way to have your computer's OS look like mac.... buy one ;) hehe

ok, with that evangelism out of the way, i'm thinking of getting a new lcd monitor this weekend.. a 23" widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), 1920x1200 pixels. much better than my current 21" crt :-P

if/when i get it, i'll be sure to post an updated screenshot!

ok guys.. here it is! no offense to any female readers, but this IS what i have for my desktop now, it's not x-rated :-P

i normally have fewer icons, but thought i'd share my custom SMB drive icons for this screen grab. note that the file links to a 1920x1200px, 1.4 MB (uncompressed) png file.

I never use complete sets from iconfactory. But it does look cool.

as differn't enouph to take a new screenshot.Here (normally I wouldn't double post but i needed to get this floating in order for this post to have any effect)

<< mod edit: i combined them. you can always copy out the content from a previous post (using the edit button), and then delete the older one, pasting the content into a new post. just one way to 'bump' the thread :) --cortjezter >>

My new desktop. I took some time looking around Google, AnimeWallpapers and DeviantArt for a decent Naruto desktop and ended up using some fanart I found. Most of the Naruto wallpapers out there use such remedial and repetitive effects.

I like the art because, not only is it drawn well, but the colouring is nicely done. It reminds me of the concept art for Magna Carta back when it was solely Korean.

I prefer no icons on my desktop. It just looks better and the Quick Launch bar is efficient.

Mozilla -> Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal -> MSN Messenger -> CuteFTP Pro -> SNES9x -> Photoshop CS2
