Postby PokeMaster39z » 09 Nov 2011 22:40

I don't know if my computer to handle it and wanted to know what you guys think.

Sonic Generations ; http://www.sonicstadium.org/2011/10/son ... -revealed/

My PC specs; http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/elec ... 043114.htm

Any help would be appreciated!Sorry if the answer is blatantly obvious, I'm a bit of a n00b at this

I am also not the best with specs, but your computer meets all the lower end requirements so you should be able to run it.

Will it run pretty smooth or will it lag beyond all recognition? :|

If it meets the lowest specs given out by the manufacturer then it should be perfectly playable. Just expect 15-30fps instead of 60fps, and some less detailed textures and lighting effects.

*edit* I've just checked your specs, and I'm afraid you probably won't be able to run the game because that laptop only has an Intel HD integrated graphics card with no dedicated video RAM. You'll be struggling with that.

Is there anything I can buy that will let me play it without costing me a ton of money and making me completely dismantle my laptop?

Not to my knowledge no. Even if you dismantle your laptop, you can't switch in and out graphics cards like that (without risking completely breaking the motherboard). With some laptops you can, but those are usually the expensive gaming ones. Even then though, just putting a really powerful card in is likely to just overheat, because you can't really do much in the way of adding any extra cooling systems.
