Adam Sessler out at G4

Adam Sessler and G4 have gone their separate ways ... apparently over a contract dispute.

Sessler was the last of the TechTV personalities left at G4 -- and had co-hosted X-Play in its various incarnations until yesterday.

I stopped watching X-Play as it became much to HD Twin focused (and anti-Wii, after originally being surprisingly pro-Wii) (It also had stopped being as funny). But Sessler seemed to be the only person there who knew anything.

What do you think this means for G4? Will it cease to be as its carriage agreements dry up?
What do you think this means for Sessler? Will he try to be a creative-type? An analyst? Will someone else pick him up?

And will G4 still be at E3? Will they still do Nintendo's session? Will they comment on it?

Or does anybody care?

I could care less about what happens to them. I used to watch G4 for their E3 coverage, but it is much more convenient to just live stream anyways. I remember when G4 actually had some interesting shows about video games, but all they really have now is ninja warrior and Cops re-runs. I agree that Sessler was the only decent one left, but I'm glad he did. I'm sure he can find a new job fairly easy and not have to go down with the sinking ship.

Nooo! I love Adam. He is one of the most intelligent and eloquent game critics there is. It would be a shame if we do not get to see him as often as we did in the past. I imagine he must be highly employable, so hopefully we get some more Sessler's Soapboxes as soon as possible.

Maybe now I can hate him less for being on G4 and gain some respect for him again.

By the way, Adam Sessler is now working for Rev3Games (and has since last November). Rev3Games doesn't really have anything analogous to X-Play, but he is still doing Sessler's Soapboxes (renamed Sessler's Something) you can view here. Rev3Games' YouTube channel features other videos with Sessler in them. For example, he recently covered the PS4 event and delivered his thoughts on that.
