GameTrailers Pop-Fiction - Episode 25: Dial M for MissingNo

Postby Master Mo » 30 Jun 2012 14:09

I usually love PopFiction but this episode was pretty meh, simply because of the Mega64Bits...

Why, because it was not funny, nor was it informative. It also didn`t go well with the PF-theme, though that might have been intentional!

Worst episode as of yet...

GameTrailers Pop-Fiction - Episode 25: Dial M for MissingNo

Postby Jirachi » 30 Jun 2012 14:22

Wait why are they implying that missing no isn't real in the intro nintendo confirmed it,as well as countless videoes showing it. What's next doubting the existence of minus world or the 1-up trick in smb 1?
My favorite zelda game is Twilight Princess and Jirachi is my favorite pokemon <3 skype:SSBBKING

I had a MissingNo back in grade school, tons of us did. Christ, we all bought Gamesharks specifically FOR this. I had no idea this was a "myth", thankfully, I never came into contact with any graphical glitches, and I never knew he could show up in several other forms. In my mind MissingNo will always be a lovable living mutated barcode.

GameTrailers Pop-Fiction - Episode 25: Dial M for MissingNo

I have to agree with Master Mo, the Mega64 bit was really unnecessary and ruined the overall video.

It was quite interesting otherwise, though I thought MissingNo existing was common knowledge, not a myth.

Maybe they'll do Pokemon Black next or the Lavender Town tone crap. I know creepy-pasta's aren't really their thing but it would make for an interesting episode.

GameTrailers Pop-Fiction - Episode 25: Dial M for MissingNo

As much as I love Mega 64, they are only really good when they are interacting with the unsuspecting public or doing parodies.

This myth was also quite bland because it just takes 5 seconds to search it on Bulbapedia to find out all the information behind it.
It's easy to grin
When your ship comes in
And you have the stock market beat.
But the man worthwhile
Is the man who can smile
When his shorts are too tight in the seat

GameTrailers Pop-Fiction - Episode 25: Dial M for MissingNo

Postby Seroth » 30 Jun 2012 18:23

Missingno is pretty common knowledge, so the whole video was pretty unnecessary. The producers or whatever probably saw that and contacted Mega64 to make it more "interesting."

I was not bothered by the Mega64 bits at all, though.

God that was awful to watch.
We're going to rack up some serious Nintendogs trainer points together!

MissingNo is a game glitch, not an actual Pokemon.

Haven't we been over this already? -_-;
