When I played Metal Gear on the NES, I had no idea that it would turn into such a major franchise. Everyone I knew had the game, but no one I knew had actually completed it. Yet...we all thought it was pretty bad-ass. I guess those fond memories of a lackluster port helped propel the franchise for its rebirth and eventually big-name status!
