No idea what this one is all about. I wonder why they'd yank them now, after all this time. Thanks to NintenDaan for the heads up!

Well, that's crap. I feel for you guys, all three of those are great games.

Will have to make it a point to download them as soon as I pick up my Wii U in case something like this happens in North America.

Nintendo probably has some plans for them on Wii U and want to make sure those versions sell. That is my guess.

European Wii Shop Channel to remove Donkey Kong Country titl

I hope this isn't some legal thing with Rare.

Unless I'm mistaken, doesn't Nintendo hold rights over Donkey, Diddy, Cranky, and maybe Dixie?

It isn't, Nintendo owns all rights to those games.

I'm happy to have gotten all 3 already, but that doesn't change the fact that this is surprising. Has anything been removed before?

European Wii Shop Channel to remove Donkey Kong Country titl

Postby Frank » 16 Nov 2012 18:01

Didn't they already get removed somewhere else briefly? Weird though, it'd be nice to hear why, and if they'll be available again later.

Here we go, the original disappeared for a short time in NA earlier this year. That was very brief though, so I'm not sure rhe same will happen here.

European Wii Shop Channel to remove Donkey Kong Country titl

Postby Johnknight1 » 16 Nov 2012 21:42

What games specifically been removed before=???

Also, if they're removing it, hopefully this is to fix something with these 3 masterpieces or replace these 3 masterpieces with something better version of them.
