Mortal Kombat returning to theaters, web series creator to direct, coincide with next game launch

- will be produced for well under $100 million
- expect a more realistic take on the Mortal Kombat characters
- film’s release is expected to be coordinated with the next gam
- next Mortal Kombat game will come out when the movie hits theaters
- may potentially come in a single package along with the DVD and Blu-ray
- legal issues with the producer of the first two films are not yet wrapped, but the two sides are close enough to a resolution to move ahead on the project
