- the game was first proposed after Advent Children had been completed
- the game was proposed for DS
- due to storage capacity and machine power, the game was held back from production on DS
- when the 3DS was shown, Hazama went to Indies Zero to finalize the plan for the game
- he then showed the work to Tetsuya Nomura and received the go-ahead to start the project that same day
- when Hazama was a kid, game consoles weren't allowed in his house
- when Hazama lived on his own, he saved up money to buy a Super Famicom and Final Fantasy VI
- the song choices in Theatrhythm were impacted by fan surveys
- there are over 70 songs in the game
