Spector doesn't think console gaming will go away

"I think over the next 3 to 5 years, you're going to see lots of people changing the way they approach consoles. If you are spending $50 million or $100 million or $200 million, which is what it's going to take, there aren't a lot of people who can take that kind of risk. I don't know that console gaming will ever go away. I think it's going to become more - god I said I would never get into the business of prediction, but here I go - I think what you're going to see is an increasing sort of stratification, where you see fewer, much higher end games that continue to do exceptionally well on the console." - Warren Spector

That's a good thing to hear, because I'm pretty sure Spector is working on Epic Mickey 2...a console game!
