- Potions and Mega Potions are used to recover from damage
- find a safe spot on the field when using items, as you have to go through a use animation
- Brachydios' forearms are coated with a greenish goo that when slammed on the ground forms pools
- these pools, after a brief delay, explode
- Brachydios charges, crashes his fists against the ground, emits area of effect explosive blasts and whips around his tail
- roll or use Deodorant to cleanse the goo off
- 200 more missions
- additional weapon classes like the Hunting Horn and fast-attacking Dual Swords
- new AI partner to help out during solo play
- constantly attend to camera control to ensure you always have the best view of a battle
- offers a lock-on ability with one button
- tap a shoulder button to re-center the camera on the target
- lock-on doesn’t auto-track targets
- lock-on can be disabled at any time
- touch screen can display vital stats, the zone mini-map, your item list and more
- put all your vital information on the Gamepad if you want
- Wii U version runs at 1920 x 1080
- many of the weapon and armor textures are noticeably blurry.
- wear parts of the enemies you conquer
- Capcom isn't yet saying how and if voice chat is going to work
