StreetPass NYC Shows How U Will Play Next at The Nintendo World Store Wii U Launch Party

After two Electronic Entertainment Expos, many Nintendo Directs and a New York Comic Con; Grassroots New York Based Fan Community "StreetPass NYC" is inviting gamers to the Nintendo World Store on November 17th to celebrate the launch of the new Nintendo home console system the Wii U serving as a compliment to the community's portable darling the Nintendo 3DS.

"A new Nintendo hardware launch is always a big thing for Nintendo fans around the world. It's like having a Christmas before Christmas even begins", says Jordan White, Founder and Event Organizer of StreetPass NYC. "Being responsible for the Nintendo video game community here in New York City, we are planning fun activities for those standing in line to keep them active and warm in the cold November weather until midnight when Nintendo of America's President Reggie Fils-Aime opens the Nintendo World Store doors so we can all go home with Wii U's and huge grins on our frostbitten faces!"

Other activities planned by the Nintendo World Store staff are premium items (while supplies last) for fans waiting in line during the event. Note that supplies are limited, and systems will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be costumed Mii Characters and, something that StreetPass NYC is really pleased Nintendo is doing, selling on a first come, first serve basis T-Shirts with Mario's image on them during the event wheres in all proceeds from sales of the shirts will be donated to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

StreetPass NYC will in the mean time offer two mystery flash mob events detailed to those waiting in line on the day, one major and one minor, to show their enthusiasm to Nintendo of America for the Wii U and the extended-family like nature of the Nintendo Culture over the years. StreetPass NYC will also start "Project Platinum Love", an effort by fans to express to Nintendo and Platinum Games for creating the sequel to the much loved Bayonetta franchise named "Bayonetta 2". Fans in line will be able to sign a poster-sized letter of Bayonetta that will be given to Nintendo of America in person at the event and persons online from now until the games release can send thank you letters electronically to "streetpassnyc@gmail.com" to be sent to Nintendo of America and Platinum Games at a later date.

StreetPass NYC will also be promoting a charity event called Nick's Marathon: A LIVE online video stream of Nintendo fans playing the new Wii U and classic Nintendo games on November 23rd until November 25th to raise money in the name of video gamer Nicholas Capobianco, who died after losing his battle with leukemia on June 12, 2008. People who donate $10 or more to the charity can enter in a raffle to win a free Wii U Deluxe Edition ($350 Value), and StreetPass NYC will play Wii U online games with them over the course of the marathon.
