Here's a bit of bad news for those of you picking up the Wii U on day one. Nintendo has confirmed that video apps including Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Netflix and YouTube will arrive “in the coming weeks”. When specifically talking about Nintendo TVii, Nintendo said that will be released in December.

For those wondering, online play, backwards compatibility, Miiverse and eShop are all still day one features.

UPDATE - Netflix says their service will be available on day one, but it will not part of Nitnendo TVii until Q1 of next year. Thanks to ZeldaFanBoy for the heads up.
