- Mikado of the East has a “Gauntlet Ritual”
- those that have turned 18 are gathered from all around and undergo a ritual to activate the gauntlet worn by the Samurai
- no one knows why the gauntlet exists here
- The gauntlets contain a demon-summoning program
- Tokyo plays a part in the game as well
- the main character has a dream that indicates his choices will shape the world
- when he wakes up, he completes the Gauntlet Ritual where the Samurai are chosen
- his friend Issachar completes the ritual as well
- at the ritual, the main character also meets the other characters from his dream
- life is much different for the main character's life in his hometown
