Monster hunting on the BRAIN! Lube and I cannot stop playing. He's playing right now as I type this! As a matter of fact, when I finish typing, I'm going to go back to playing as well! I sure hope you guys are checking out the experience, because it's a wonderful one. See you in a few, short hours!

The Monster Hunter franchise isn't anywhere near as popular in the states as it is in Japan. Capcom has been trying to change that for years. Lucky for us, they've been trying to change it by utilizing Nintendo platforms. That latest push comes with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U and 3DS.

While you may feel that you've had this experience before, Capcom through in a load of new content to make the experience enjoyable for long-time fans. The most interesting feature is the ability to connect Wii U and 3DS to go hunting together with your buddies. You can even transfer your game between systems...once that feature goes live.

I don't know about you, but I feel like there's something special going on with this version of Monster Hunter. The connectivity features, the Wii U upgrade, the ability to take your game on the go and then plop it down at home...it's exciting! I've heard so many people talking about this being their first Monster Hunter experience. More than I've ever heard before, and that includes press.

Truth be told, this really is the first time I'm deeply getting involved in Monster Hunter, thanks to the ability to have a friend play along at my side. Having that connection to go hand-in-hand with the learning experience is fantastic. Maybe that' why I've already crammed over 10 hours into the game!

Is this your first time Monster Hunting? Did you decide to finally jump into the series with MH3U? What made you pick this game up over other series entries? Are you still waiting to pick it up, but plan to do so soon? Leave us a comment and let us know where you're coming from!
