BioWare comments on the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy
"We had no way to sense what it's like for fans to go through that emotional arc and arrive at the ending. We were actually really excited to build out some of these things that the fans were saying that they wanted to see more of, and so that kind of led to the Extended Cut." - project director Casey Hudson
Of course, the ending mattered a lot more to fans that played Mass Effect 1 and 2 in their true form. How many of you that tackled the third game on Wii U were upset with the original ending?
