Dyack comments on Sanity Effect system patent, says there shouldn't be problems with Nintendo
Coming from Denis Dyack concerning the Sanity Effect system in Eternal Darkness, and the patent involving Nintendo.
We are in constant contact with Nintendo and they are well aware of this project. They wished us the best of luck before the campaign started and are very supportive. We are very aware of the patent, I helped to created it. We are confident there will be no issues in this regard and will work with Nintendo to make sure there are none.
We understand there are some people who are bringing up doubts that "this can't be happening" (pun intended) . It up you and others to decide whether you want a game like this. We want to create it and think it has enormous potential.
Let's look toward the future, with the Order we are doing something new, something with great potential.
We obviously don't know what's going on here with Dyack and Nintendo, but it's good to hear that they are in constant talks about the project. I'm sure things will work out just fine. Thanks to Autosaver for the heads up!
