Something about the weather here is killing my energy. I can barely keep my eyes open. Damn rain, making me all sleepy! Time to hit the hay. See you in a few, short hours.

After a week's absence, we have the mailbag session back in action! Again, another round of very interesting questions. This time we talk about fishing, E3 and the Mother series!

Be a part of this feature! Send ANY questions to GoNintendoMailbag@gmail.com to be featured in a future post!

Carlos: What is your favorite fishing mini game inside of a non-fishing based game? Why? Which games have you spent more time fishing then you really needed for the sake of story?

RMC: I guess I would have to go with Animal Crossing! I do a ton of fishing in that game, and it's definitely not a fishing game. I honestly can't think of any other games where I fish and enjoy it as much as in Animal Crossing. The ease of fishing coupled with the excitement of a shadow, it just makes for a really fun experience!

DonnyDarko420: Many gamers/critics questioned if Nintendo feared it couldn't compete for the spotlight at this year's E3, but when they announced their new E3 plans it made a pretty big splash. It seems like they managed to shift some attention their way already because they are trying something new. So, as disappointing as it has been to some fans, do you think that it may have actually been a smart move?

RMC: Even if the Wii U was doing great, this E3 was going to be a rough one for Nintendo. With Sony and Microsoft showing off their next-gen systems, the attention would mostly be on them. While I definitely missed Nintendo having a big stage presence, it seems they took a smart path. Letting press hop right in with hands-on impressions made sense. Nintendo realizes hands-on sessions, for both press and fans, is the key to getting the Wii U some steam.

Josh: I've got a question for you about Mother 3. Have you played it? Do you think it'll eventually make its way out of Japan? It's one of my favorite games and I want to know what you think about it. If you haven't played it, what would you think about playing it in an emulator?

RMC: It's funny that this question comes up now. Earthbound just hit the Wii U VC, and I'm sitting here playing it with a friend as I type!

I have never played Mother 3, but I've been meaning to for a very long time. I've heard so many good things about it. I know I need to check it out. Now with Nintendo actually releasing Earthbound on the Virtual Console in NA/EU, maybe there's a slightly bigger chance of Mother 3 seeing some sort of special digital release.

I think I'm fine with playing the fan translation via emulator, but that's because of how Nintendo has handled the situation. Nintendo clearly knows that there was a big fan movement for the game, culminating in a translation. Nintendo did absolutely nothing to stop this, where they've stepped in and squashed many other fan projects. For whatever reasons, they were okay with this translation going forward, so I believe the emulator option is okay. Again, that's just my personal feelings. In this instance, I can understand either side of the argument.
