Reading the forums, one of the main World concerns we've heard involves Mario's movement. After Super Mario Galaxy's acrobatics, the prospect of rigid, 2D-flavoured Mario isn't that hot. Thorough hands-on testing reveals hidden agility. There's the common long jump (move, crouch, jump), the roll (crawl, dash), the rolling long jump (roll, jump), the somersault (run, reverse turn, jump) and high jump (crawl, jump).

He has even learnt a new, manual take on Galaxy's spin jump: move the analogue stick in a quick circle to turn him into a whirligig and tap jump to send him helicoptering into the skies. Perform the same move when carrying a second player and you send them spinning into the sky, too. It's probably best to check if they ate a particularly heavy lunch beforehand.
