Union J unites with Pokemon to celebrate global release of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y on October 12th

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released worldwide on October 12th, 2013, exclusively for the Nintendo™ 3DS family of systems—and Union J will announce its collaboration with Pokémon at a press conference this Friday, October 4th.

George, Josh, JJ, and Jaymi have all previously shown their love for the Pokémon video games on social media—and now the boys, who release their first album this month, will be joining with Pokémon to celebrate the launch of these highly anticipated Pokémon titles.

“When we first heard that Pokémon X and Pokémon Y had been announced, we couldn’t have been more excited and we knew that we wanted to get involved in some way,” says George. “The boys and I are all huge Pokémon fans and we know that the JCats will go crazy when we announce our special news!”

The announcement will be made at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, October 4th.
