Sakurai's Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS workload would normally take a multi-person team to handle

Coming from Sakurai's reoccurring feature in Famitsu...

"With the previous Smash Bros. games, I would input all the fighter specs and attack hitboxes, and with the new games I'm doing something very similar. If I were to hand over the work to someone else, it would be a full-time, multi-person designated workload. It's faster and more accurate to do it myself than to tell someone else over and over again what to do.

I'm thankful to be able to work a job where I can offer enjoyment to more and more people. More than anything, it's fun to see things come together!"

Sakurai says that his own editing work on the project doesn't begin until 12 hours after he's arrived at the office. This is why he prefers to come in on Saturday for work, since he's not bogged down with the requests and requirements of other staffers. This makes for a 6-day work week, but it sounds like Sakurai wouldn't have it any other way.
